The government is operated by the 1967 constitution. The president and vice president are elected into five year terms and may not seek for immediate reelection. The president has many jobs, include publishing laws and enforcing them, as well as, proposing new bills.(Government) The current president of Uruguay is Tabaré Vázquez, he has been in office since 2015. Uruguay shares a musical interest with Argentina, the tango. (Encyclopedia) The tango originated in Argentina, by the middle class, but claimed by the upper class when the dance spread. Uruguay's most famous sport is Football (American Soccer). They won a gold medal, from the 1924 Olympic Games held in Paris, which was also the first time Uruguay has competed in the games. Other enjoyable sports include: basketball, tennis, and boxing.
