Hello, I’m going to talk about the topic of the genetic disorder I chose “Hemochromatosis” also called (iron overload). For this genetic disorder I will give you several things about it. For example, I will talk about what kind of disorder this is, diagnosis, treatments, risk or occurrence and etc. But first let’s talk about (iron overload) this is when you have way too much iron in your body and excess iron in your organs. Its hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) this cause your body to absorb an unequal amount of iron in your body. This disorder is a genetic disorder you can get it from your parents. My spouse is recessive so she will not have it but our children will have a high risk of this disorder. Huntington’s is when the nerve cells in your brain start to break down, which affects you ability to move until you die. Me and my spouse decided we wanted to have a child. Carriers may show no signs of the disease; however, they have the ability to pass on the gene to their children. When Octavia my spouse was 4 months pregnant because we decided to have children she got tested. I would still love to have my children but i think to get them tested would be best. People do not start seeing any of these symptoms until you’re in you 30’s - 40’s. I will treat my child the best until i die and when the time comes mom will tell him what’s going to happen if he did get the gene. There is still the 50/50 of my children getting the gene or not. My reason is that i wanted kids i’m dying so i want to die happy.
