Did you know they have two coats of fur. The outer coat is nearly invisible so that it is basically water proof so they won’t freeze or other things happen. Another interesting fact is that their fur is actually yellow and not white because the sun only reflects off it and makes it look white. Under their coat they have black skin to draw the heat created by the sun to keep them warm and heated.mother polar bears mate in late spring when they are 3-5 years old.
