Informative Speech On Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is cancer that starts in the prostate.The prostate is a gland that creates some of the liquid in semen. The cancer originates in the prostate but like most cancers starts to grow out of control and spread to the rest of your body.Prostate cancer is only in men because only men have prostates.Chances to get prostate cancer also increases in age.This is because as men get older their prostates grow and allow more errors to occur.
Our event is a trivia tournament that includes facts about prostate cancer and prizes.The people at the event will get rewards for doing better than other people in the trivia game.Also this allows them to learn stuff about prostate cancer that they did not know if they get it wrong.Like I said there would be incentive to learn
For example in the normal cell cycle there is a checkpoint after G1.This checkpoint makes sure that the cell has grown enough to continue and if this is skipped like in a cancer cell it would make it so that its not grown enough to continue on and could die off.Also the checkpoint after G2 make sure it's large enough to go on to mitosis and if it isn’t again many bad things could happen like during mitosis the cells chromosomes don’t line up properly.Finally it could occur if it skips the last checkpoint like all the other ones in a cancer cell.This would mean that the chromosomes could split not evenly resulting in an uneven amount of pairs/not a full genetic set in each cell.All of these and other problems during the cell cycle create cells different than cells that are normal and have regulation to stop growing when they need to.Since the abnormal cells can’t stop growing for whatever reason creates tumors which turn into cancer if they are metastatic.This basically means it can spread to other parts of the
