Presentation is verbal information or visual representations that convey much information quickly. Demonstration shows learners how to do a task as well as why, when, and where it is done. Discussion is a dynamic approach that encourages classroom rapport and actively involves students in learning. Problem solving is learners use previously learned skills to resolve challenging problems. Co-operative learning is small groups of students working together to learn collaborative and social skills while working towards a common academic goal or task. Discovery allows the learner to find the answers for themselves. Instructional games are an appealing environment in which learners follow prescribed rules as they strive to attain challenging goals. Simulations learner confronts a scaled down version of real life situations. Drill and practice learners are led through a series of repetitions of practice exercises. Tutorial is a tutor (person, computer, and handout) presents content, practice, questions. Demonstration and tutorial would be 2 methods/strategies of my team selected for the various parts of the instruction and justify my choices. First level of evaluation is a reaction. It’s important to measure reaction because it helps me as a trainer understands how well the training was received by my audience. It helps improve the training for future learners by knowing important topics that are missing from the training. Second level of evaluation is learning. We would measure what the learners have learned. How much has their knowledge increased as a result of the training? Third level of evaluation is behavior. We evaluate how far learners have changed their behavior, based on the training they received. We would look at how learners apply the information. Fourth level of evaluation is the results.
