Integrity is a new book from Mark Parker that casts a critical eye on the current state of character, ethics and morals. His premise is that these qualities are in decline among governmental, political, business, athletic, religious, educational and other leaders, and their lack of integrity is having a profoundly negative effect on our nation and society.…
This case was based on George Tenet and the decisions he made within the CIA, successful and unsuccessful. Tenet served under the Clinton and Bush administrations from 1997-2004. During the Clinton administration, his main focus was to rebuild the CIA from its lack of morale and budget issues. Surprisingly (in my opinion because of his lack of experience), he was successful in the beginning process of rebuilding. Unfortunately for him, after Bush was elected the 9/11 attacks happened and his success started to decline. The decisions he made during the Bush administration and his lack of focus led to the demise of the DCI and the weakening of the CIA. I think his popularity during the Clinton administration got to his head and he just got sloppy during the Bush administration, but his decisions tremendously affected the way CIA is run today.…

Integrity is having a standard of morals and ethics, and living by them. It is a willingness and ability to do the right thing even when it is hard. The story To Kill a Mockingbird is filled with integrity. For example, many of the characters show different traits of integrity through doing what is right, and others show traits of integrity for doing what they believe in. Some of the characters portray no integrity at all.…
“Trust is the key ingredient in leadership. If you cannot engender trust, you are unlikely to find many who are interested in following your lead. They assume that you are making the right choice based on ethics and proper morals.” Sometimes integrity may be considered an old fashioned word in businesses environment. Integrity- Integrity is the basing of ones actions on an internally consistent framework of principles. Depth of principles and adherence of each level to the next are key factors. One is said to have integrity to the extent that everything one does is derived from the same core set values. While each other and with the persons actions that determine the person’s integrity. Integrity is the act of doing the right thing when no body’s is watching. For example, if Lcpl Smith is at the PX and the cashier gives him more money back then he should have got and Lcpl Smith corrects the cashier and gives them back the money, Lcpl Smith just should integrity. An example of not having integrity would be if Lcpl Smith on his way to work knew there was a way around all the traffic but instead of taking that faster way, he went through all the traffic just so he wouldn’t have to go right to work and told his Cpl that he got stuck in traffic.…
Ethics, Morality, and Integrity all have some of the same elements that defines a person character. Being trustworthy leads to other elements of integrity. Such as, helping to better the community and respecting authority as a Parole Officer shows honesty. Being fair is another element which shows integrity. How can you be a Parole Officer, but doesn`t treat everyone equally? Third, being able to take responsibility for your own actions and personal growth as a Parole Officer shows integrity, as well. If you basically blame all of your failures and lack of progress on others around you then that shows your character and you cannot exhibit integrity with others and your career if you cannot be honest to yourself. Ethics as a Parole Officer could…
1. Integrity is honor to oneself which usually means doing the right thing and is similar to morals, a conscience, and principles. People can have different morals from their religion or the way they were raised but everyone’s principles are usually very similar. Some can keep their integrity by volunteering or donating. Overall, integrity is when someone knows they’re ethically doing the right thing which usually makes them feel good and raises self-esteem.…

According to my results, I tend to base my ethical perspective in what is good to be rather than what is good to do. This is correct; I strongly believe that ethics focus in ways to achieve moral excellence. I know that our actions are the reflection of our character, but at the same time I believe that we must look beyond the actions to determine the individual’s character. Our actions can be motivated or influenced by different circumstances: the desire to belong and be accepted in a group, in order to obtain a benefit, in order to gain a reputation and our actions can be manipulated. However, the actions can’t make us an ethical person if we don’t believe in honor, justice and a sound moral character. Ethics relies in the individual’s ability to make sound moral judgments. Is not just about choosing right from wrong according to a norm, but to be able to make difficult choices aid by a good character conformed to wisdom and integrity.…
