The country of Mexico, below the United States, houses the largest number of Spanish speakers in the world. Mexico City is full of activity from its many residents and tourists. The Mexican history, geography and culture are very interesting, because it is a lot different than the U.S. The Mexican people have endured a lot of war. Mexico is full of interesting facts, like the plant poinsettias are named after the first Mexican ambassador. Throughout this essay, you will enjoy learning about the country of Mexico. The Capital of Mexico is Mexico City, which lies in the southern central portion of the country. Mexico has many volcanoes-turned mountains, like Sierra Negra and Cofre de Perote, which are located in the Southern part of the country, near Mexico City. The second interesting fact is all of the monarch butterflies migrate from the U.S to Mexico, each year. The third interesting fact about Mexico is that the largest wild cat can be found in Mexico forests. Finally, Mexico is only second to Brazil in Catholic Citizens.
