Intermezzo No. 3
Intermezzo No. 2 the last movement from Symphony No. 39 was one of the works that was crated in Vienna. The instruments that make up the music of this piece are 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, a timpani and strings. Mozart made the last movement very light hearted and playful in a sense where people of a royal manner probably wouldn’t naturally listen to this. This first movement of this symphony is slow and dark, similar to most music during this time. Also a perfect example of sonata form, exposition opening a swift dotted rhythms bringing forth a cinematic modernism, grand gesture, to the table. The development section short with an easy modulation to be heard during the short section of movement that quickly makes a turn around

    Symphony No. 9 is one of my favorites within the genre of classical music. The orchestra did a wonderful job with this piece. I love how they used a mixture of different parts of the orchestra throughout the entire symphony and how it only continued to get better from the start. The piece was very romantic and had a lovely classical tune to it which made the piece easy to listen to. I normally would listen to songs like this has when I’m running or studying as classical music helps relaxes me.     9 No.1 in G Major by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) who was one of the most famous composers in music history. This piece was composed in 1798-1799 and published in 1799 in Vienna, consisting of four movements: Adagio – Allegro con brio, Adagio ma non tanto and cantabile, Scherzo: Allegro, and Presto. This piece started with an Adagio movement in order to build tension and call to attention, followed by Allegro con brio. The first movement was described in a sonata form, consisting of three main sections: the exposition, the development, and the recapitulation. The tempo became rapid as the first movement reached its ends. After the first movement, there was a pause so that I could recognize that the first movement ended. The second movement, Adagio ma non tanto and cantabile, started softly with lyrical violin performance. The second movement was mainly led by the violin with a beautiful melody in support of the viola and cello. The pace and mood did not change a lot during the second movement. Therefore, I was not interested in this movement, since there was no high pitch sounds and no climax. The mood in the second movement was changed in the third movement. Like many of Beethoven’s compositions, the third movement in this piece was a Scherzo which generates energy and rhythmic drive (Kamien).
