Interprofessional Education Role Analysis

Interprofessional education is a huge part in any health care community, as each individual member is only a part of the whole care. I have seen firsthand how some health care professionals do not understand the role athletic trainers can play in healthcare. However, I have also had the opportunity to witness and work alongside a diverse healthcare team during a special event; seeing how each health care professional is one member of a team. I hope to play an active role in addressing this issue with regard to future education. Recently our program, has worked alongside our nursing program exposing current and future students to each other’s skills and education.
