CHAPTER I
PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
INTRODUCTION:

Writing is important, it still appears that not all students can write because it employs a wide range of skills that, in experience, many students seem to have not yet developed. Most basic of all is the need to read well. It takes a longer year of development and it is subject to continual change because like all arts, the art of writing begins with rules. Writing effectively is evidently a must for English major students since they are future English teachers and it is observable that writing still is very difficult. It is more important to be able to write well than to speak well except to those who are interacting regularly with the public as a representative of their company. Written communication has a central role in the success of an organization and the ability to express their selves. With the importance of e-mail in all professions, but especially in technology professions, writing has also become the foundation of that all important interaction. And if you cannot communicate well in writing you are going to have a very tough time making a successful career from your first job. According to Wikipedia, Technical writing involves the creation of useful documents that can be clearly understood by readers. Good technical writing clarifies jargon, presenting useful information that is clear and easy to understand for the intended audience. Poor technical writing may increase confusion by creating unnecessary jargon or failing to explain. It is a form of technical communication used I a variety of technical and occupational fields, such as computer hardware and software, engineering, chemistry, aeronautics and astronautics, robotics, finance, consumer electronics and biotechnology.
