This is a paper about the technology invented during the time of the Renaissance. It will talk about what inventions were a great success. It will also talk about the main topics of technology during the Renaissance.
The Renaissance was a time, as the name suggests, of rebirth and renewal in Europe. It was a time that put society into a new age of technology. The inventions during this time shaped society and put it to where people would recognize it today. These inventions still play a big part of what we do today. Gunpowder was probably used first during the Battle of Crecy in 1346. It is also known as black powder, was a very big invention and it did a lot of damage when matchlock rifles and cannons were invented later. This simple explosive powder was made out of a mixture of sulfur, charcoal, and potassium nitrate. The sulfur and charcoal acted as the fuel and the potassium nitrate acted as an oxidiser. An oxidiser is a type of chemical which fuel requires to burn. Gunpowder was such an important invention because all matchlock guns and cannons needed it in order to shoot.
Another invention was the microscope. This invention helped scientific studies. It allowed humans to see what was normally invisible to the naked eye. The invention of the microscope allowed many things to be discovered in many different fields of science. It unveiled the secrets of nature. With the microscope, scientists were able to discover the existence of microorganisms. Today the microscope is still an important tool to diagnose illnesses in hospitals all over the world. Microscopes today can now see viruses, which are smaller than any
