In this report I am going to compare and contrast my two businesses, Disney and Adventure Island. I will also outlines whether the market for their goods and/or services are steady, declining or increasing and then I will also include suitable maps identifying the location of Disney and Adventure Island and evaluate the likely reasons for their choice of location. I will then evaluate what factors might cause Adventure Island to relocate.
Markets of both businesses
A market is the set of all actual and potential buyers of a product or service. The sector of market in which Disney and Adventure Island are in is the tourism market; I know this because they are in located in areas in which they are in high demand for those visiting. Both Disney and Adventure Island are a service. The market in which Disney and Adventure Island are in is increasing; I know this because from my research I have found the sales figure for the past 2 years. These figures were, Disney: 2010 - $36,086m, 2011: $40,893m.
Adventure Island: 2010 - £241.5m, 2011: £246m.
These figures came from the annual report of Disney 2011 and the annual report for Adventure Island 2011. These figures show an increase in the market as they have both made a profit. This means that the tourism market is a growing market. A growing market is where the demands for products or services is increasing.
