Is Batman A Hero
The common look of comic book characters is that the heroes are good and the villains are evil. Although the batman is portrayed as a hero many of people would see him as a villain just as the joker, even though the joker is the antagonist the joker and batman walk in the same shoes but decided to be on different sides. by this I mean the joker kills for pleasure but batman also kills for revenge which is still wrong although Batman uses this for a reason to be called a hero and continue to do so the Joker although being twisted in the mind and making choices that are downright crazy seems to show that he is not so crazy after all even if that is the way he is seen. if you look at it joker seems to have a plan on what he is doing and does it …show more content…
The Joker is the product of a changing society on the cusp of the birth of serial killers, the fear of people who speak and act out against the government. Joker is the great nightmare of conservative republicans. He sets out to rip the system from the ground, piece by piece, inducing panic and anarchy. Before the return of Batman, Joker lies docile in his imprisonment. He appears stable, coherent, and dare I say sane. He shows little motivation to break out from Arkham. In which he cannot exist if Batman does not. even though the Joker had made so many different changes from the time he was created in most cases he was so dangerous because of his intelligence which let him have no reason to his actions letting him literally do whatever he wanted to do. Though he may be Batman's undisputed arch-nemesis, The Joker has always held respect for Batman, saying in "The Dark Knight", "Why would I kill you? What would I do without you?". He also acknowledges that Batman will never kill him using this to his advantage, as that is Batman's only rule, and since The Joker will not kill Batman, this literally means they are truly destined to fight forever. As the Joker says, "This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable

The main antagonist of the Dark Knight is the Joker. The Joker makes his debut in the opening scene, which is one of the best bank robbery scenes ever shot. Not only does The Joker rob the bank, he does so in a way in which all his criminal accomplices murder each other one by one thinking that they’ll get a bigger cut if they do. From this scene you might think that the joker is motivated by money. However, that’s not true at all. He robbed the mobs bank so he can manipulate the mob as he pleases and cause more chaos and destructions, which he does later into the movie. When Alfred and Bruce discuss what motivates of the Joker Alfred replies ”Some Men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned,…

The Joker displays qualities of the new type of villain authors/ directors like to use. The Joker’s method of terrorizing people is very strange. None of his actions are explained, which makes him incredibly mysterious. One example of his strangeness is his scars on the sides of his mouth. Each time he tells a different story of how he got them. He is a stock character, meaning there was no information on his origins, we, the audience, just knew what kind of character he was…obviously, completely insane. The Joker’s ways of attack are very strategic and clever. You, as the audience, never know what he will do next and whatever he does, he always makes you jump. His way of life is that with rules, life is boring.…

On the other hand in Batman the dark knight the “Joker” represent evil, chaos and anarchy, the Joker has no purpose in this movie but to create chaos in the city “Joker: Oh, you. You just couldn’t let me go, could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You are truly incorruptible, aren’t you? Huh? You won’t kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won’t kill you because you’re just too much fun. When order is taken away chaos takes over. In Christopher Nolan’s, The Dark Knight (2008) there are many cinematic techniques which are used to highlight the mayhem that the Joker creates throughout the film. The Joker is a character in the film that does not care about the reward or the financial gain that most criminals want after they commit a crime, he just wants to kill and destroy everything for no apparent reason. In The Dark Knight there are many cinematography techniques used however there are six main techniques which are used to focus on the chaos which the Joker creates; cross cutting, smash cut, extreme close up, zoom shot, tracking and fast cut.…

The Joker and Batman won’t survive without each other and this all started with a prank. The Joker was created on April 25, 1940 by DC Comics. 1965 was the year that the Joker had his own comic spinoff and then the comics were canceled and then it came back in 1973. I think that the Joker is a very successful, sinister, unique and original chemist/villain. He is an exotic character from DC Comics and I hope to see more from this character.…

The character I decided to pschoanlayze was “ The Joker” from the movie “ The Dark Knight” played by Heath Ledger. The Joker was a very strange character who sometimes showed no reasom to his actions. He had an sense of humor that nobody understands and his appeareacne is quite frightening. His face is painted in order to have some sort of appearence related to a clown. His hair is dyed green. Despite his appearence he proved to be very intelligent and strategic. The movie never gave any history background of the Joker. There is no information of where he came from or even what is real name was. But during a couple of scenes he describes hints about what his past life. The Joker would tell a variety of different stories pertaining to the history of his scars that didnt really piece together. Although the stories didnt piece together, he made it very clear that he had a strong hatred for his father. In a particular scene of the movie the Joker is found invading some sort of gang hideout and holding many people at gunpoint. He begins telling one of them a story about his father. He desrcibes his father as a drunk who places a knife in his mouth and repeats the prhase “ lets put a smile on that face!”. As we learned in Pschology our parents have a big impact on how we’ll turn out and his father seemed to be a very authoratative parent. His dad represents law and order. Based off his story his father appeared to be very abusive which more than likely is the cause for his dislike of his dad. And since his dad represents laws, this could be the reason why the Joker seemed to have became a criminal and have a hate for society in Gotham City. In another scene the Joker is displayed burning a mountain of money without hesitation. It is evident in this scene that the Joker does not care about the normal wants of humans such as money or social class. His only attention seems to be destroying law/society and playing with Batman in which he has a weird bond with. Batman is the…

    Batman Analysis

I felt The Dark Knight was the most effective in entertaining me as an audience because it showed the collective personalities of people around us in a way that can be easily understood. For example, in this movie the main characters expressed their inner personalities in a form of a shadow. The shadow is irrational, and is the hidden side of a persona, in which it can contradict the way an individual believes himself to be. For instance, Batman assumes he is not as insane as Joker because he does not follow the same morals as Joker. However, Batman is also similar to Joker because; he also wears a mask to hide his identity, and intimidates people so they will follow his rules. Similarly, how joker also hides his identity, to enforce his rules, and morals to a society. Specifically, Batman focuses on the genuine goodness of the whole society, whereas, Joker motivates individual self-interest and altruism. In addition, Harvey Dent’s transformation into Two-Face shows what happens when one becomes the victim of the shadow’s impulses. For example, he has two faces, in which one of his faces is his own persona, and the other is the shadow. Moreover, he is the combination of Batman, and Joker. Overall, The Dark Knight symbolized the internal struggle in which individuals experience with their darker side, which made it successful in entertaining an audience.…

“Dark Knight” was a smash hit for it’s fame, explosions, and chase scenes, but what really had me on the edge of my seat was perhaps the most riveting villain I had ever seen. The Joker. The Joker is a mob-backed terrorist with suicidal tendencies and a textbook sociopath. He is not reasonable, he’s not afraid of anything, and the last thing he cares about in the world is himself. As Alfred explained to Bruce, “Some men just want to watch the world burn”. Given the tortured nature of our subject, I felt it fitting to call upon Dr. Sigmund Freud to be our expert into the downward spiral that is the personality of this criminal mastermind.…
