15th Sep 2014 As we all know, technology plays a very crucial part in our daily life in the 21th century.
Especially the use of those advanced technologies such as smart phones, the internet and computers. Honestly speaking, those technologies indeed promote the quality of our life.
But actually, those also bring us some bad effects. From my perspective, taking class online instead of traditional has a negative impact on people nowadays. Taking courses online might cause some cheating or dishonesty. Here is an example of this situation. Mr. Hamilton, who had failed English 3 in a conventional classroom and was hoping to earn credit online to graduate, was asked a question about the meaning of social Darwinism. He pasted the question into Google and read a summary of a Wikipedia entry. He copied the language, spellchecked it and emailed it to his teacher. As a result of that, his teacher will probably think he totally understands that problem. However on the contrary, Mr. Hamilton learned nothing at all from this class. However, when we have face to face class. We will never have a chance to copy paste other people’s answer or cheating.
That’s how will you really learn something. Taking courses online could decrease the effectiveness or distract your attention.
Take myself as an example, I have online SAT class every Monday and Thursday. Each class is about 2 hours long. During the class, I often can not completely pay attention to the
class. Sometimes I probably feel hungry, then I start eating some snack during the class.
Sometimes I got an message from my friend, then i begin texting with him. What’s more, when study hall is over, people in the dorm might play music loudly or talk to each other loudly, theses things are all can distract my attention so that I probably might miss
something
