It/240 Week 2 Assignment
Hi my name is Brian Warren and I live in Queens, NY. I am 33 years old and my birthday is in May. Now I am a student at the University of Phoenix studying to be an IT.

I earned my GED back in 2006 and right after I got it I went to apply to Laguardia community college where I stayed for a year due to financial restrictions. I have had numerous jobs, from being a foot messenger to driving a limo, but none of them have ever kept me happy except working on computers and I have only done that as a hobby fixing friends computers, so I think that it is time to start getting paid for doing what I love to do.

I not only fix computers, but I also build them. The one that I am using now is my second one that I built and the first one I had I gave to my son. I find it more cost effective and better when I build my own computer. In my spare time I go on the computer and I play my xbox 360. I love to read and my four favorite authors are Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Tom Clancy and John Grisham.

I have now have four children (Son fourteen years old, daughter five years old and daughter two years old, and a brand new son whom is 2.5 months old) and I have been married for two and a half years. I am extremely grateful for my family, for their love and support. While I embark on this journey of going back to school, their love and support will help me through the good and the bad, it will help me with any stress I might encounter.

    Inside the womb we start out as an egg, but one of the first major structures that begin to form is the brain. The brain itself is a complex structure that leaves much to be learned from it. The Myelencephalon (or medulla) is the posterior portion of the brain stem. An interesting part of the myelencephalon from a psychological perspective is the reticular formation. It is a complex network of about 100 tiny nuclei that occupies the central core of the brain stem from the posterior boundary of the myelencephalon to the anterior boundary of the midbrain. It is so named because of its netlike appearance (reticulum means "little net"). Sometimes the reticular formation is referred to as the reticular activating system because parts of it seem to play a role in arousal. The various nuclei of the reticular formation are involved in a variety of functions, however — including sleep, attention (definitely important for language), movement, the maintenance of muscle tone, and various cardiac, circulatory, and respiratory reflexes. Accordingly, referring to this collection of nuclei as a system can be misleading. Generally, the myelencephalon does not play an important role in language production or comprehension.…
