Jackie Walorski Research Paper

Being a state representative in the United States is a great position of power where you are in charge of listening to your constituents and solving the issues in your community by expressing their thoughts and concerns. When you become a State Representative you become the voice of the people.
Jackie Walorski was born in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Ind., August 17, 1963. Jackie worked as a journalist before becoming a State Representative of the 2nd District of Indiana in the 114th Congress. She attended Whitcomb Riley High School and later attended Taylor University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. Jackie was taught to care for the well being of the community by her father, who was a firefighter, which helped her appreciate her community. Although Jackie has not been a part of the US armed forces, she is a firm believer in providing AID for war veterans. (see source 2)

Being a member of the Agricultural Committee she has to ensure that farms are being provided with the right aid, as well as ensuring that her community is meeting their nutritional needs. Rep. Walorski listens to the people she represents, and has many ways to contact her so that your concerns may be voiced one way or another. She tries to make herself readily available through social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, which she uses to often voice her opinion on various topics that she's become aware of as well as talk about what she is doing to improve the
