Jacob Jones, an introvert sophomore, exerts his energy into basketball rather than talking. It is said Jones has three special character traits that not many talented athletes his age have: focus, priorities, and the ability to be humble.
“I guess [I am humble], I don’t really brag much about being good”, says Jones, looking down and shrugging his shoulders.
Not only does Jones set a positive example with his humble attitude, he sets an example with his work ethic. A tenth grader that is highly respected and looked up to without trying is a rarity in itself.
