Jacoby Ellsbury: My Role Model

Jacoby Ellsbury I am inspired by many people but when it comes down to it Jacoby Ellsbury is definitely the most inspiring. He is known for his amazing success on and off of the baseball diamond. He is my role model because through all of the hard places he has come from and the small town of Madras, Oregon he still achieved the American dream of becoming a Major League Baseball player. Jacoby McCabe Ellsbury was born on September 11, 1983 in Madras, Oregon. His mother was a Native American and his dad is a silversmith, He lived on the warm springs Indian Reservation until he began school. In High school he was an amazing athlete. He received five varsity letters, for each baseball and basketball. He ended his High school baseball season with a .537 batting average and 65 stolen bases. He ended his high school basketball season averaging 26 points a game and 4 blocks. This young star then moved on to greater and better things at Oregon State University where he was a Baseball America first-team …show more content…
And that was definitely a very good choice because as his career got longer he got better and broke more records and proved himself more and more as time went on. Jacoby Ellsbury will go down as one of the greatest to ever play the game. And to have a role model like him to look up to is one of the greatest things ever. These are the reasons why Jacoby Ellsbury is my role model because he is one of the best that there could ever be and I still continue to let him inspire me till this very day.
