James Michener's Essay When Does Education Stop?

In the essay “When Does Education Stop?” James Michener states that education will never stop throughout life. Michener includes that you have to work hard, get educated, and discipline yourself. Michener makes lots of poignant statements and all of those statements are 100% agreeable to most real life situations.
Part of Michener’s statement, is that to succeed in anything you have to work hard. One of the most important parts of working hard is having the dedication to do so. When the visitor that was interviewing Michener asks if he would do what he had strived for again. Discipline is one of the most important points about his statement. Before you can even start to discipline, you have to be prepared for anything. William Lownds Calhoun spent six hours learning french because he had no idea where he was going to be stationed. Michener prepared himself for 2 years when he had to for the interview with the professors about his work and what he learned. Michener had to reeducate himself a lot because he needed to be prepared and needed to discipline himself. An example of that is when the presidents were choosing people for higher positions for the military, they always chosen the ones that have reeducated themselves. When Michener forgot about learning, he quickly ran off into a little shack that was bug filled and only lantern lit to reeducate himself.
Michener has made a 100% fulfilled essay and has made a great impact by stating his points. Not only that but working hard, education, and discipline are astonishing statements that should be taught more than most of the things students are learning about know. Michener has made a breathtakingly agreeable
