Jayden's Narrative-What Doesn T Brake?
It all started when Jayden and asked Gary to ride his fourwheeler thinking he was going to say no you could imagine our surprise when he said “go for it”. We instantly jumped on and took off, at first we took it easy not going to fast but fast enough we were having fun. We were all over town. We almost rolled once when Jayden turned a corner to fast and we went up on 2 wheels, jayden and i both leaned the right way causing us to go back down on all four wheels. After drive for a little while longer jayden finally gave in to my persistent nagging and let me be the driver. We took off still going easy and decided we should go check in. when we got back to the house we asked if we could go back out and he told us we could Gary looked at us and said “ do a wheelie ya pussies”. …show more content…
As we were driving around we found this rock hill and we hit the hill a few time going up getting a little bounce and coming back down the other side never really leaving the ground. It started to get dark and i convinced jayden to let me hit the hill one more time but with some more speed than the last times. I came around the corner and instantly gassed it as i press on the gass i hear jayden shout “ slow down” i instantly start to brake a little but before I know it we are at he top of the hill and the wheels leave the ground. As we make contact with the ground everything goes black and jayden jumps off mid air but i help on. I was knocked unconscious when my face bounced off te front of the 4-wheeler. Jayden jumped off the back in mid air. When i came back to all I remember is trying to push the fourwheeler off of me. Jayden runs over and rocks it enough that i can slide out most of the, she goes to put it down and it's right on my chest so she lifts it again and i jump

Ernest Hemingway is regarded as one of the greatest writers of his time; however, he was notorious for his misogyny (University of Alabama). His misogyny was seen prominent throughout many of his short stories such as “Hills Like White Elephants” and “Cat in the Rain.” Throughout Hemingway’s life, he published many short stories and novels that had a very strong influence on American literature in the 20th century. Within these pieces of work, many scholars have criticized Hemingway for his portrayal of women often as helpless, weak, and easily influenced. Specifically, Stanley Renner is well known for her criticism on his work “Hills Like White Elephants” in which she analyzes and concludes that Hemingway’s…

I honestly had no clue what was happening to me. Anyway… You’re probably wondering, “why should I care,” since it happens so often? The answer is, because I got a mere twenty feet, and everything went dark. When I collapsed, my Mom apparently screamed, “someone call 911!” When woke up, I saw Mom and Dad through my hazy vision, and then it went dark again. I don’t remember anything else from that LL Bean trip except that we were there because I needed new hiking boots for our trip to the Rocky Mountains the week after. When I woke up the next time, I woke up just to vomit on the chair that my Mom had abandoned, mere seconds before. It was close. I heard Mom say, “what’s wrong with her? She’s never acted like this before…” Unfortunately, before the conversation ended, I had fallen asleep. The last time I woke up was when it was dark outside. “Where am I?” I asked…

My Dad marched into my room. “Buddy, wake up, it is time to get ready to race.” he stated. I responded with “Ok, Is that bacon?” I could smell the sizzling bacon on the stove. It smelled like paradise. I got straight out of bed, went to the bathroom and sprinted to the kitchen. We ate pancakes and bacon for breakfast. It was so delicious it made my mouth water. We loaded the bikes in the van and headed to The…

I was playing dodge ball. Usually I'm not very good at it, but one day, I was the last one on the court, and someone threw the ball at me. At that moment, I felt like the end was near. I heard mixed yells from my friends; yells of "Run" and "Catch it!" I almost felt the ball hitting my face as it was coming toward me! I closed my eyes! I heard a loud bang, not unlike a ball hitting someone. First, there was silence, then yells and cheers! I didnt't feel any pain. I realised that since I hadn't felt any pain, I had probably died. Well, I lived a good life. It had seemed that my death had been inevidable to me. I opened my eyes and looked down, expecting to see my body, lying on the floor. but it wasn't. 'That's strange', I thougt, I looked at…

It was summer time and I was wearing my West Scranton football shorts and shirt, it was a normal day in the summer I was sitting in my living room with the air conditioner turned all the way down to 60 to get a cool breeze. I was watching Iron man but I really was not that into I kept drifting off and thinking what I should do with my day. My older brothers Shawn and Anthony came to the door around 2 in the afternoon and asked me if I wanted to go swimming. I quickly galloped up the stairs and asked my mother if I could go, she said yeah just be safe. When I was four years old my parents bought me my first dirt bike. Riding dirt bikes has always been a part of my life. I started on a JR 50 and it’s a very small bike and after working my way up on bikes I'm now on a TTR 250. At first I was always scared to move on to a bigger bike, but I felt comfortable for the first time when I moved up to the TTR 250. Then a few years ago, I was outside riding my dirt bike and my family was watching me. I told them that I didn't need any gear on because I wasn't going to do anything dangerous and so I had no helmet on and no chest protector, I was only in a t-shirt and shorts. While I was on my bike I went to take off on a jump and when I did I hit my break right before I went off the jump because I had a moment of panic and hesitated. I was going too fast to stop right away, so I still went off the jump but landed sideways. Once I landed, the bike rolled three times and threw me off. I blacked out for a couple seconds and once I woke up, I was in so much pain and screaming for my…

Up at my grandparents cabin in Mio, Michigan, it is usually pretty calm and relaxing… Unless me and my brother are riding the ATVs of course. We ride up and down the dirt driveway, through the trails leading to the neighbors houses, and around our small private pond. I really enjoy going fast on “my” ATV (it is really my grandpa's, but he doesn't use it and my brother has his own). One day while I was up at my cabin around 2012, I was taking a break from riding, my brother asked me if I wanted to ride as a passenger.…

When I was in first grade at Morris Brandon Elementary School, something very bad happened to me. I was jumping on my trampoline that my sister had gotten 4 days before this for her birthday when I woke up in scorching pain not being able to move. It felt like I had woken up from a long nap. From the neck down my body was tingling and it was very tight. My eyes felt like I was in space. I really had no clue what was going on. It was almost like it hurt so bad that I couldn’t even feel anything. I had gone into mild shock and wasn’t saying anything. My mind was going bizarre and I was thinking about my childhood and all these random things, it was almost like my life flashed before my eyes. It felt like I had dreamt about my whole life in the span…

I suddenly realized the accident had put our pick-up right into a snowbank. The pick-up was completely covered in a white blanket of snow all around us. My mom tried to back us back out of the snowbank, but with our luck it the truck was stuck. After we couldn’t escape the snowbank I started to freak out screaming that we were all going to die! But my mom reassured me that we would be okay and would soon be out and on our way. As we waited in the pick-up it began to slowly getting colder and colder which was not a pleasant experience. We were waiting for my grandpa to come to our rescue. The sun started to slowly go down and the darkness and cold of the night began to overcome us in the snowy canyon. We were all freezing, but trying to make the most of our current situation we began to listen to music. While listening to the music we got lost in our jamming out session and in what it felt like no time at all my grandpa arrived. He pulled us out of the dreadful snow and made sure our pick-up was alright. I talked about what had happen like as if i almost…

After sometime I felt the hands of the rescue workers as they pulled me away. I remember screaming as the car exploded. I had died and had come back to life. I saw my body on the operating table and the doctors and nurses around me. I tried to talk to them but they had not seemed to hear. Then I saw a long tunnel and floated towards it. I felt grateful that I had attained heaven. At the end of the tunnel I saw a woman wearing a white dress sitting with a baby girl in her lap she was kissing her and taking care of her. When I went close to her, I was surprised to see that its my mother and that’s me in my childhood sitting in her lap. Tears started rolling out of my eyes. Suddenly that women stood up and came to me and explained that it was not my time to die yet, then guided me back to the tunnel.…

I flew off the jump got about 15 feet of air and landed on the other side of the railroad tracks. When I landed however my front tire hit a large rock and sent me and the bike into cartwheels. As I was tumbling in the air, I could hear my bike crashing and smashing against the rocks, just as I noticed my bike my head landed directly on top of another large rock and I heard a snap. My back felt like it was on fire from being twisted like a pretzel. My nose I could feel was swollen to about twice its normal size. As I reached up to feel my nose, I felt that my entire face was covered with blood. I reached up to wipe my eyes so that I could see what had happened and my hands felt more blood. I thought that I was nauseated by the fact that there was so much blood but it was due to the blood pouring into my mouth from my twisted and probably broken nose. I tried to stand up but immediately fell back down in pain and began to scream for help.…

The bus had stopped to let a couple kids off and I stood up to throw some trash away. I stood up and we were rear ended by a young lady who had been trying to get a bee out of the car and not realized the bus had stopped. I was standing up and the impact caused me to bang back and forth into the seat in front and the one behind me. I didn’t realize what had happened until moments later when someone said something. As I began to sit down I felt a sharp pain shoot through my body and my heart started to beat rapidly.…
