Jesse James
Thesis
Even though Jesse James was a good leader, he did end up killing hundreds of Union Soldiers in and after the Civil War, and took money that wasn't his. Jesse James was the most feared outlaw of his time because of his control and ability to influence the members of his gang. This gang followed his every call and so he could just have people killed if he wanted. Jesse James was also a great family man, which shows his great leadership skills. He fought as a Missouri Guerrilla and robbed banks and trains all in the central states of America. Even after the Civil War had come to an end, his war was never over.
Biography
Jesse James was born in Clay County, Missouri, on September 5, 1847. He also has a brother named Frank and he play a very crucial room in Jesse James life. The way he and his brother were brought up by their father Robert James, was defiantly more on the strict side because he was a Baptist minister. His father was married to Zerelda James and the moved to Missouri in 1842. There was really only one group who was widely known and was led by Bloody Bill Anderson. The guerrilla’s later became known as the Jesse James Gang, once bloody bill died. The Jesse James Gang was a gang from 1860-1882 and they were the most feared gang. Over this period of time the gang was involved with 20 bank robberies all throughout Minnesota, Kansas, Missouri, etc… The gang stole an estimate of $200,000 and were confederate legends in their own time. The Union soldiers finally got the gang to come to a halt, by taking all of their local resources that they used to supply their troops. Even after the Jesse James Gang came to a halt, Jesse James still gathered people together and led many other bank robberies all within the central part of
