Jesus' actions are portrayed throughout the book of Matthew. Jesus establishes justice and peace. Jesus was a perfect example of the Prince of Peace. This was a great way for the Jews to realize Jesus' actions match up with Him being the Messiah. (Isaiah 9:7) Jesus was being persecuted by all who envy Him. It is mentioned in Matthew several times about Jesus as Messiah and how Matthew develops this theme. The Jews have very high standards for their expectations of who "their" Messiah is. They don’t believe Jesus is the true Messiah. In this paper, the whole theme was to show that Jesus is the Messiah and to prove to the Jews this is who they have been waiting for. For it has been revealed that Jesus is the true Messiah. (Isaiah 53:1) Jesus fulfilled many prophecies and promises in regards to the Messiah.
