Abstract John Fitzgerald Kennedy one of the most brilliant and intelligent presidents that the United States has ever had the pleasure of having as a leader. Coming from one of the most famous Irish American families The Kennedy, how played a very important rolled in the political aspect of the United States. But John Kennedy adolescent and most of his adulthood faced a trouble debilitating illness that made it almost physical impossible for his to carry out a regular life. This illness also affected his relationship with his family special his father Joseph P. Kennedy and brother Joseph Patrick Kennedy Jr. His mother Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald how also had trouble understanding his illness and his sister Rosemary abandon her children

During this paper I will do an analysis on his personality from a psychological point of view. Looking though childhood and adulthood life to see how he truly was. We will see what John F. Kennedy mental status and the dilemma he has to faces. The psychologist that I will use to answer this question about his personality will be Alfred Adler, Karen Horney, Sigmund Freud, and Abraham Maslow how are well-known for their theories on human personality.

JFK was a very sick child suffering from infancy, things such as troubling digesting milk to getting chicken pox, ear infection, and undiagnosed stomach. John suffered from so many health issues that it made it hard having a normal life. Attending school was an issue because once he started school he had to be pulled out and be hospitals. His and his eight brothers and sisters were abandon by their parents because they could not handle John illness or his sister Rosemary, how was diagnosed as having a mildly Mental Retardation. The Kennedy Children grow up being supervised by relatives and servants. During John’s up bring he was in constant companion with his older brother Joseph Patrick Kennedy Jr. Joseph was his father favorite, he recipient of his father and grandfather greatest hopes. Joseph Jr. was everything John was not an excelled athlete, discipline, healthy, show leadership, sociable, and could succeed in anything.
