John Mayer's Waiting On The World To Change
John Mayer’s song “Waiting on the World to Change” best represents me as a person because of the fact that I want to change things and be the bigger person, but I can’t because I am not in power. The power lies in the older generations hands and it is held with a tight grip. My generation is more contained than recent generations because of the way the world has changed. Children now have to stay even closer to their parents than before because it is more “dangerous”. This doesn’t give children enough freedom to become their own person because a lot of parents try and shape their children into a younger version of themselves. That is why our generation is so rebellious, because we are trying to get the freedom that we need to grow and prosper.
