Jonbenet Ramsey Murder Case

The death of JonBenet Ramsey has been a mystery for so long. It is so weird that this little girl was found dead in the basement of their home and no one heard or saw a thing. Records say that JonBenet had a fractured skull, been molested and had been strangled with a chord. According to biography.com, the only evidence found was a ransom letter requesting $118,000 in which was written on some paper belonging to the Ramseys and the duct tape which had fibers from her mother’s clothing. When her body was found, the father should have not moved her. I do not understand why he would take her from the basement back upstairs after finding her; it just did not make any sense (biography.com).
During further investigation of the crime it revealed that she was indeed hit across the head with an object, but it did not kill her; she later died from strangulation according to the swelling on her brain. It is believed that the rest of the scene was staged. It is just awful that someone would want to torture an innocent little girl, because records show what the strangulation happened about 45 minutes to 2 hours after she was hit in the head. Also during the investigation, the investigators had the family’s handwriting tested to see if their writing matched the ransom note; even
John Karr was later released from custody and did not face any charges because DNA evidence proved that he had nothing to do with JonBenet’s death. As the years went by, new details were brought to light. The investigators revealed that there were no forced entry into the home, nor were there any footprints outside the home in the snow. Also later revealed was that a paintbrush from the mother’s paint kit was used to tighten the chord that choked the little girl. The Ramsey’s were later cleared in 2008 due to a new “touch DNA” technology system
