In the land of Caanan there was a 17 year old boy his name was Joseph. Joseph had 12 brothers. All of the brothers were mean to poor Joseph. Every time the brothers where mean to Joseph he would go tell his father, Jacob. And every time Joseph would go tell his father about how mean the brothers where to Joseph the father would love Joseph more. Jacob, the father, had many wives. Everybody in the family where shepherds. After that one of the brothers decided to throw Joseph in the well. Ruben tried to save Joseph but it was too late. Judah didn't want to kill Joseph, so they sold Joseph for 20 pieces of silver. Potephara bought Joseph as his slave. Potephara brought Joseph to his house. Joseph had 3 meals a day. The brothers needed more food from the king. Their dad sent them to get more food, but one of the brothers said, "we have to bring Benjamin". The dad agreed, but they had to keep him safe. So they went back to Egypt. When they got there they had a big feast. The brothers lined up oldest to youngest in front of Joseph. Benjamin got the most food of all the brothers. After the feast, they piled grain into their bags and put money and a chalice from Joseph into Benjamin's bag. The brother's tarted on their way home. Joseph sent a guard to go after them and bring them back. Joseph said to the brothers, "one of you has stolen my chalice." All of them said, "we would never do that." They opened up their bags, Benjamin had the chalice. Joseph sent all the brothers away except Benjamin. King Joseph said, "I have to tell you something."
