A. History of Judicial Education & Training Centre of Supreme Court Since the enactment of Law No. 35 / 1999 on Judiciary authority, the Supreme Court continuously put its effort to restructure and improve in many key areas. One of them is to establish the Education and Training Centre through decision of The Secretary-General of the Supreme Court. The decision regulates two newly established institutions, the Education and Training Centre and the Research and Development Centre. The regulation also regulates function of the institution, among them is to formulate programs, curriculum, syllabus, education & training material, and organize the programs as well as preparing the facilities. Location The Internship Venue is situated in Pasir Muncang, Megamendung, in the mountainous area of Bogor City in West Java, nearby famous local tourist spot "Puncak". There is little access to reach the Internship Venue, due to its remote location where it is located 5 kilometers from the main road adjacent to the Jagorawi Toll Gate. The main rationale behind the location was, when the plan to build the integrated facility for the Internship Venue was initiated, it requires a huge portion of land. The land with that enormous size was difficult to be attained in the middle of the city. Therefore, after considering the distance that was not too far from the Capital, and the availability of the budget at the time, it is then decided that the Internship Venue will be built upon that 5,5 hectares’ land. The construction of this Internship Venue give rise to both advantages and drawbacks, the advantages including 1) Creating jobs, where approximately 200 people originated from the respective area now work at the Internship Venue with different occupational position, 2) Creating "isolated" and conducive learning platform, where participants stay within the venue during the programs as there is little access available and, consequently, reducing risks of participants from skipping or take a trip out of the programs.
