Jumping On The Trampoline Analysis
Danika Nease My Broken Arm
4th hour
October 17th 2016
Me and my brothers Alex and Skyler were jumping on the trampoline when I had this not so genius idea that involved me going under the trampoline and trying to hold up my brothers.
That plan didn’t really work ,instead I ended up in a lot of pain and in the hospital for about a week.
About a year or so later me and my brothers Evan and Alex went to foster care. Evan and Alex got put together in the foster care but I got put by myself. It got a little lonely and life sucked in foster care. My foster parents didn’t really like me cause I was mouthy and depressed. After that me and Evan went to live with our dad after he and Christy moved back into Michigan from Kentucky.

When I was younger I was playing with my sister and she ran up to me and asked me to push her on the swing so I did. After a few minutes I got tired and stopped and went in leaving her on the swing. When I came back out side she was tangled in the swing upside down I got in lots of trouble. I made that choice sort of unintentionally because I forgot she couldn’t get off the swing and I had to pee. I regret the decision now because every time I go to the park with my sister my parents remind me to take my 11 year old sister with me when I…

As a family, we welcomed Lucas without hesitation. Although we had hardly any space left in our home, we did not want to separate the three siblings, let alone allow for another child to be placed into the uncertain and often unsafe foster care system. We therefore adopted this baby when he was only two days old, and I received a fourth brother. Our family has since developed an even stronger passion for the institution of adoption. It is harrowing to see how many children today are unfamiliar with true, familial love because they were raised in a broken foster care system with minimal security. These three new siblings have taught me a plethora of lessons about being grateful for mere existence and family. They took the most basic elements of our lives and thoroughly redefined their importance. Prior to this expansion, I believed adopting was merely admirable. However, this experience has inspired me to reach out and show love to the unloved. I quickly learned that adoption is incredibly important and beautiful, no matter how much space it may take…

I prayed constantly and I trusted in God that it would work out. I never knew what was in store for me. My biggest fear is that I would wind up in a foster home. Two or three weeks had passed, and one of my best friends, Bryce, knew my situation. He had talked to his parents about it, and they offered for me to stay with them. It was a very generous offer, and without a doubt I took it, because who would not want to live with one of their best friends right? This was going to be my third house within two years. I was tired of bouncing from house to house and feeling so unstable. The day I moved in, I never could have told you that in a year I would still be living there. Bryce’s family treated me like I was a part of their family.…

Though many foster parents are conscientious and caring, there are many who are not. Some are in it only for the money, although, others have good intentions and motives. A problem as well, is that many children in foster care are continually moved from home to home, thus establishing no real bond with their foster parents. Children, especially young children, require a stable environment. A foster parent is, in effect, a surrogate parent. And like other parents, foster mothers and fathers serve as role models for their children. A role model can be a positive influence, but depending on the role model he/she could be a negative influence.…

I grew up like any average girl, attended a good preschool, participated in sports and had good friends and a good community surrounding me. My parents were always in a good mood with each other and shared the joy of raising their children together. I have few memories of the bad times my parents had or hearing them argue. The worst memory I recall is walking into the living room one early morning and my mother looking at me and saying "It's time you need to know that I am leaving your father". My immediate reaction was a natural instinct for a teenager, which was to blame myself. Suddenly, I was now the minority at school because the majority of my peers still had both parents in a relationship…
