INTJ’s are attentive, ambitious, and long-range intellectuals. The INTJ dislikes inefficiencies and as such will spend a great amount of time trying to consolidate perceptions into regulated configurations (BSM Consulting, 2012, Portrait of an INTJ). Being an INTJ with an Intuitive-Thinking (NT) temperament, I believe that I spend most of my time even at my expense trying to rationalize complex issues into structured patterns that are easily identifiable.
The business world is continuously changing, so being able to compartmentalize rational thoughts is essential for me. While at work, this is an especially good trait to have as within the accounting profession, new complex laws and regulations are constantly being placed into effect. Having the ability to understand these new concepts promptly is indispensable; however, my primary interest does not involve understanding the concepts in full but rather applying those concepts in order to better assist the client (BSM Consulting, 2012, Portrait of an
