While most people are accepting of teen pregnancy, Juno shows examples that it is still controversial such as when Juno was getting an ultrasound. The ultrasound technician had no restraints when she made rude comments towards the soon to be teen mother; saying she “just see a lot of teenage mothers come through here. It's obviously a poisonous environment for a baby to be raised in.” Also in the movie, the topic of divorce is touched upon with examples such as Juno was very upset that the couple Mark and Vanessa were getting a divorce. In today's world, divorce is becoming very popular with almost 50% of couples getting a divorce so this is very relatable to everyone. Another thing in the movie that is relatable is the friendship shared between Juno and Leah (Olivia Thirlby), they joked a lot but Leah was always there for Juno through her pregnancy and supported all her decisions.
