in unison, there were these huge, scaly, monsters with sharp teeth and claws breaking out of cages and eating people. These effects had never been seen before and was greatly anticipated. The premise of the story is shown first, which is a small group of people going to an island to what seems to be a dinosaur museum. Next, there seems to be something hatching out of an egg and then a very large and living dinosaur is shown as the visitors see it for the first time in amazement. The trailer eventually shows other dinosaur throughout this seemingly large island living peacefully. Suddenly there is an unknown disturbance that was later revealed to be a very large carnivorous beast. The characters are seen panicking screaming and running as this unexpected turn of events unfolds. Brief clips of close encounters and climatic points are shown as the trailer comes to an end. The well-known Jurassic Park theme song is played along with its logo and date of release. The pathos in this trailer would be appealing to excitement and maybe even fear.
The short clips of the characters screaming, running, hiding, and the extreme emotion on their faces is what causes excitement. Of course, there is the fact that there are real, live dinosaurs walking around that have been extinct for centuries and cannot be contained that may cause some excitement too. The fear factor may be that these enormous carnivores are chasing people and judging by the trailer’s content, it is a very strong possibility that this could actually happen in actuality based on the science explained in the movie trailer. The animations and how realistic it looks also adds to this fear factor giving the sense that the events are in fact
real. The ethos could be the Universal Studios shown I the very beginning of the trailer. This trailer also showed actors that had been popular in the media in previous years and seemed to fit the personality of the characters they needed to portray. Not only this the credibility of Universal Studios influences the audience that this movie is worth watch, but acting history and background of the actors\actresses in the move help promote and sell it as well. The fans of these actors may even promote the movie by sharing their impressions on the actors and actresses. But before the decision was made to make this into an awesome movie, there was a book. Everyone who had read the book and loved it most likely wanted to watch the movie, if not…they are pretty weird and dead inside. Throughout the trailer, the memorable Jurassic Park theme song played in the background as a narrator hooks the audience and grabs their attention as he prepares them for something never seen on a theater screen before. He says the statement “The most phenomenal discover of our time becomes the greatest adventure of all time.” This statement is what makes the audience wonder what this discovery is and why it is so great. His voice isn’t too soft and loud which helps keep the audiences interest. If this trailer had no audio what so ever, the trailer wouldn’t fulfill its purpose and wouldn’t reach as great of an audience as it did.
