[This article investigates the effects of exposure and attention to the news. It argues that a person with little knowledge about a subject is easier to persuade than someone with background knowledge. For example, when presidential candidates are trying to get undecided citizens to vote for them they are most likely going to go after those with little knowledge of what is happening within the race. This article helps me realize that the media does have a strong way into persuading them to think one way.]
"Chronology of the O. J. Simpson Case." Chronology of the O. J. Simpson Case. N.p., n.d. Web. 03 Oct2012..
[This article contains parts of O.J. Simpson’s book called If I Did It. In chapter 6 Simpson writes that Nicole Brown Simpson was his “enemy” and he also expresses that she would flirt openly with other men in front of their children. Simpson says that after he had dinner the night of the double murders he sped over to Nicole’s house and parked in a back alley and put on a wool hat and gloves. Simpson also grabbed a knife before leaving his car. Simpson explains that his intent at that point was to scare Nicole. Simpson also claims that when he walked into the house he saw Ronald Goldman and became furious assuming that Ronald and Nicole had a sexual relationship. Simpson goes on to write that something “went horribly wrong” and the next thing he knew he was standing covered in blood while Ronald and Nicole lay dead in front of him. In Simpson 's story, he places a second man, a friend named "Charlie," with him at the time of the murders. Charlie, Simpson reports, attempts to stop Simpson from doing what he 's doing. This article helps start my paper giving me different clues on what Simpson did that night. It is a reliable source because it came from Simpson’s book he wrote.]
Collier, Aldore. “Why O.J. Simpson Was Found Not Guilty.” Jet 23 Oct. 1995: n.pag. Print.
[Collier from Jet magazine reports on the O.J. Simpson trial and why Simpson’s lead attorney, Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., explains Simpson was not found guilty. Cochran explains that the time periods of the murder and where Simpson was at the time do not go hand-in-hand. According to Cochran, witnesses claim they heard Nicole’s dog wailing around 10:30 which was predicted to be when the murders occurred. “Simpson was picked up by a limousine driver around 10:40 for a ride to the airport, so there was not enough time for Simpson to commit a bloody double murder and get back home, shower and be ready for a flight so quickly” Cochran explained. This article is a great help for my persuasive paper and because it was written around the time Simpson was found guilty it is a valuable source.]

Gilbert says Simpson confessed by saying “if she hasn’t opened that door with a knife in her hand, she’s still be alive.” Gilbert also claims he helped Simpson bloat his hands so they wouldn’t fit in the notorious bloody gloves. Simpson’s lawyer said none of Gilbert’s claims are true and he is just “a delusional drug addict who needed money.”]

Many people wonder why the media pays so much attention to tragic situations and their trials. The answer is simple, it attracts people which makes the money roll in. Many people love tragedies involving mystery and sex. So while many people think the media should stop making such a big deal about court cases there are also plenty of people who don’t want the drama to stop. This helps me understand why the media plays such a big part in such things.]
