When former president Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace prize, it became quite controversial because Obama had only been president of the U.S. for a year. Yet, he accomplished so far to drop most drones in such an extent that they called him “the drone king”. In his speech, Obama said: “In today's wars, many more civilians are killed than soldiers; the seeds of future conflict are sown”. In order to prevent or stop genocide, you must commit one, however, it leads to the occurrence of another genocide in the future. War always has a victor and a looser. Consequently, the losers will have an inner urge to take revenge, and the losers are mostly relatives of the civilians or soldiers who perished in war. Therefore, going to war is like to sow a seed and wait for it to escalate.
Under certain conditions a war can be morally justified, if it is in accordance with the Marshall Plan which the Americans invented. According to the Marshall plan, war can be waged when it protects human-rights from being violated, in self-defence, to prevent genocide, civilians are spared from violence and if it restricts more dangerous weapons.
Though, the concept of just war is rarely observed. In most wars, the intention of going to war started with just war. However, during war cruelty increases and morality vanishes due to the survival instincts and the psychical traumas in which people suffer from. In the end, most wars escalate into something much worse than war, a Hell. In this manner, war cannot be morally justified since morality doesn’t exist anymore.
All in all, a war can never become something good, yet, sometimes it is the only solution solely under certain circumstances. And that is the message of president Obama’s
