“Justice delayed is justice denied” was written by a British politician William Gladstone.
Good morning teachers, friends and worthy opponents today I stand amidst you to air my views on the topic justice delayed is not justice denied.
Basically Life will always try to knock you down one way or another, but with self determination and focus you can stand right back up again.
Justice is a concept involving the fair, moral, and impartial treatment of all persons. In its most general sense, it means according individuals what they actually deserve or merit, or are in some sense entitled to. Justice is a particularly foundational concept within most systems of "law," and draws highly upon established and well-regarded social traditions and values. From the perspective of pragmatism, it is the name for a fair result.
The adage "Justice delayed is Justice denied" is how far true today? Delaying doesn't mean that justice is denied. It takes a lot of time in the Government offices to get the job done but it doesn't mean that they aren't working. So now, how far this adage "Justice delayed is Justice denied" true?
The very phrase/concept of 'justice delayed' suggests that justice is/was served; it simply is/was postponed or deferred until a later point in time. We are, after all, instinctual beings (though we do

He made many correlations to the Bible and major public documents, such as the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights to make his arguments accurate and mainly understandable by restating vital rules and quotes that even the illiterate could comprehend. In these paragraphs he quoted the Bible by using phrases like “moral light, “abyss of despair” and “ unjust posture.” King used the word “wait” in this section of the letter multiple times as a allusion to the current denial of rights to African Americans that had been going on for the last 340 years. He also stated that “justice too long delayed is justice denied” in correlation to the current racial dilemma in America at the…

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” (King, April 16, 1963) this quote was said by Martin Luther King Jr. Injustice is a synonym of the word unfairness; meaning, that injustice is when people are not being fair. In the cases of To Kill a Mockingbird, The Scottsboro Boys and The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Injustice was a part of the verdict. In To kill a Mockingbird Tom Robinson was accused of raping Mayella Ewell. In the Scottsboro boys case the nine boys that were found on the train were accused by the two women that they raped the two women. In the shirtwaist fire the women were suing the owners of the building because they locked the women in and there were no exits. The women pleaded and the jury still found the owners not guilty. In the trials the Scottsboro boys, Tom Robinson and The shirt waist fire women were falsely accused of what they did. Each defendant/prosecution was accused for something they didn’t do. This ‘Wait’ has almost always meant ‘Never.’ We must come to see, with one of our distinguished jurists, that ‘justice too long delayed is justice denied’” (paragraph 12). In these few quotes, King justifies his assumption by experience that no one can contradict. He then solidifies his point when he sheds light on the fact that the black community has “waited more than 340 years for our constitutional and God-given rights” (paragraph 13). With this evidence to back him up, King expresses the necessity for what he and his associates are doing because of the basic principle he states in the first…

According to Shapland (2011) Justice is defined as the quality of being righteous, fair; equitableness or moral correctness. Justice is a term that can be very tricky and many people have often and easily confused with or used interchangeably with the term fairness. In most circumstances, whether at your workplace, your school, your local pub, or in the courtroom, people want to believe that they always want to feel that they deserve and are owed to be treated fairly after being wronged. There are two different types of justice such as Restorative Justice and Retributive Justice. Restorative justice has recently become a very popular yet controversial topic. With it being such a controversial topic there have been a few key elements of the restorative justice program that have been at a longstanding debate. They key elements consist of weather restorative justice should be defined as a result or a process, whether the approach should contain some type of form of punishment, and lastly, whether the approach should contain some type or form of punishment, and lastly whether or not it should be considered as a replacement to the traditional criminal justice system or be integrated into it.…

In Strunk v. United States, 412 U.S. 434 (1973), the Supreme Court ruled that if the reviewing court finds that a defendant's right to a speedy trial was violated, then the indictment must be dismissed and/or the conviction overturned. The Court held that, since the delayed trial is the state action which violates the defendant's rights, no other remedy would be appropriate. Thus, a reversal or dismissal of a criminal case on speedy trial grounds means that no further prosecution for the alleged offense can take place.…
