We were moving into and old house that was made in 1865. When we first moved in the realtor said to never go in the attic because the floors are not stable. Then school started and I had no friends knew no one at all so for the first week or two I minded my own business. I talked to no one didn’t say a word for two weeks. Then weird things stated to happen in my house every once and a while at night I would hear these weird noises coming from the attic it sounded like …show more content…
But life got better at school, I actually started to make friends. So I asked my best friend Tommy if he wanted to come over he said “yeah just send me your address. When I sent it all of a sudden he said he couldn’t come. So I asked him why he said “ I have lived here my whole life my parents have lived here there whole life everyone who has lived at your house has suddnely just disappeared.” Not beliving Tommy I googled my house address. It turns out that he was right everyone who has ever lived at my house has just strangly disappeared. Those noises that I heard every once in a while started to get louder and more frequent. The scratching turn into screeching and instead of happening ever once

On the early stages of Jackson’s journey, she receives aid from a supernatural figure. She sees this figure as a protective helper, and this figure gives aid to Jackson on her journey. Jackson, after crossing a log laid across a creek, thanks her protector for helping her avoid a challenge by saying “the good Lord made his snakes to curl up and sleep in the winter” (Welty 2). While the Lord as a protective figure does not give Jackson a physical protective device or amulet, she does receive faith, which is used to protect her from internal conflict on her journey. The Lord as Jackson’s helper protects her from facing a challenge with snakes and gives her faith throughout the remainder of her journey.…

    H. Jackson Brown Jr. once said, “When you can’t change the direction of the wind, just adjust your sails.” I can relate to this quote in regards to overcoming problems in my early teenage years. I grew up with my mother, father, and two older sisters. My sisters are a few years older than I am. Growing up with two older sisters was a struggle but it was especially challenging because they had a gift for athletics and I did not.…

Change seemed like the end of a perfect world. When I moved into the new house the smell was unrecognizable, the environment was somber and insipid. School felt strange and I felt everyone staring at me as a strange specimen from a lab. The first weeks were unbearable; I was thirteen and felt like a misfit, I could not get myself to adjust. I talked to many people, but I kept on jumping from group to group because I could not consider any one my friend as in the previous school. Phobia stroked…

I moved to Alabama from Texas at the beginning of my 6th grade year. The day before leaving, my best friend since kindergarten came over and stayed the night with me, dreading falling asleep and waking up to a nightmare of having to say goodbye. The morning came and so did the tears, I had packed up my entire life, said goodbye to all my family, friends, my house, and even my dad. How was I, an insecure, and VERY shy little girl supposed to just leave everything I knew and loved and start all the way over when my life was just getting started? It was a long 12 hour drive from Dallas, Texas, to little town Guntersville, Alabama and it gave me a long time to pity myself, hate my mom for moving me, get over the hate and be excited, and then be upset all over again. Alabama. Why Alabama? We had a choice, Alabama or Florida, and we chose here??? Me being a stubborn, bratty, over dramatic pre-teen, I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. I thought the world was ending.…

I had a family once, my parents and a little sister. I was the oldest child. We bought a new house. That house had a authentic frightening basement. When I walked downstairs, the old wooden stairs would creek. There were spider webs all over in the basement. The light was dim so not much of the basement lit up when you turned on the light. You were surrounded by darkness. Even when you turned on the light switch the light will first sound like a growl. I didn't care. It freaked me out sometimes from watching one too many scary movies.
