Unfortunately JWB had to take temporary leave soon after because he fell with sickness.
As soon as JWB was better he got right back into it in fact he became so renowned that just days prior to his gettysburg speech the President Abraham Lincoln attended JWB’s performance of “The Marble Heart” at Ford’s Theater. After his outstanding career as an actor JWB settled down and joined Know-Nothing Party, which it purpose was to limit immigration into the United States. JWB had very strong beliefs in slavery growing up in a pro-slavery family those passed onto him. JWB soon joined a Virginia Militia that aided the capture of John Brown. JWB eventually became a secret agent for the confederacy. JWB had so much time after his theater career that he was involved in a plan to kidnap Abraham Lincoln. JWB’s “Master Plan” consisted that Lincoln would come to Richmond to make a deal, but JWB’s plan failed when the President didn't show up in the end. This made JWB very angry, so JWB took it to a new extreme. JWB went to a play not to act, not to watch, but to
kill. JWB or “John Wilkes Booth” went up to the balcony were Lincoln and his wife were watching the play and took his gun out pointed it at the president and killed him. He got away that night but suffered a bad injury in his leg for jumping down from the balcony. John met his other conspirators and they fled to Richard H. Garrett's farm in Port Royal, Virginia. Soon the police who were on there tails showed up, but Booth refused surrender. So the police set the barn on fire with Booth in it. When Booth realized what was happening he tried to escaped resulting in him getting shot in the arm and dieing on the front porch.
