Within this structure, supervisors observe all the workers organized by a ranking system. People that possess hierarchy positions with the company retain more power, indicating they have less supervisors. To visualize a hierarchical structure, one may foresee a pyramid, where one person is at the top with presiding workers branching down from him or her. In the bureaucracy of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Nationals, is the overseer and leader of the entire organization. In Columbus, Ohio, Nationals is headquarters of all the chapters in the United States and is entitled with the highest position and amount of power within the organization. The rank below Nationals, is Chapter Council. At every college or university that possesses a chapter of Kappa, the Chapter Council is also present. Chapter Council is made up of elected positions and oversees the entirety of their specific chapter. This group of young women are dedicated and held to the role they play within Chapter Council. There are certain expectations within the workplace that workers are expected to exceed in. In most bureaucracies, workers are looked after and watched by their supervisors to make sure they are exceeding their qualifications. If the worker is found not meeting their expectations and guidelines, than the bureaucracy will replace them. In a sorority, if you are not meeting your expected guidelines of philanthropy, service hours, grades, behavior, and extra curricular activities, Chapter Council reserves the right to replace the girl whose criteria is not met.
