Kaylieb Bernard Gatson Essay
December 16 1997 a young man by the name of Kaylieb Bernard Gatson was born in Mobile Al. He lived of many terrible situations to where neither his mother nor any other adult could tell him much. When I first met Kaylieb I was about twelve years old I wasn’t the best kid neither was he.; we would always be at one anothers house laughing and playing video games you know just having some good times. Until all of a sudden I saw him start hanging with some other older guys who always seemed to make terrible decisions in a lot of stuff that they did. All of the guys he was starting to hang with where high school dropouts who had nothing going for themselves. All they wanted to do was sag their pants and talk to people reckless but not everybody …show more content…
Kaylieb had two brothers who were known for always getting in trouble. Trouble was always the center piece for this family so I would say that this was evolutionary psychology playing its part its just history repeating itself over and over again. As a youth his mother would let him stay out late without a care in the world. My mother wouldn’t dare dream of something like this. I still always did see good in him because I always see the good in people I guess im a humanist I believe in humanism. I also do believe that the environment he was raised in had a big help in what went down. In cultural psychology its what is embodied in the culture . so I would say growing up around that violence with no outlet made it even easier for Kaylieb to get into some of the predicaments that he did. I also believe that the psychoanalytic theory could help find out why and how this kid not even yet a man could be developed and conditioned to believe that it was ok to play with guns or hang with some group of guys knowing you were making the wrong decisions. Fast forward to late December of 2015 Kaylieb was shot he lived until January it should not have been this way but history is something that tends to repeat itself unless we do something about

In conclusion, children are very vulnerable not only physically but mentally. The brain of children may absorb infinite quantities of information, but cannot classify whether is good or bad, useful or useless, relevant or irrational, etc. The child is exposed to either a healthy or unhealthy environment. As a society, we are very fortunate when a kid is raised in a healthy environment where values are present and rules are followed. However, if a child was raised in an environment where there was lack of values, it is more likely to have a Paddock or any other attacker hurting society at a certain point in their lives. As a matter of fact, Stephen Paddock was raised in a dysfunctional family. His father was a convicted bank robber described as psychotic and dangerous when Paddock was only 7 years old. Even when he and his siblings were told their father was dead, they grew up shame-ridden from his father´s felonies. As a society, we may assume that children that age are not affected. However, these are the misconceptions that the article talks about. Children do not fully understand what is happening, but the brain still absorbs that…

It has been brought to my attention; that the past motion pictures you have acted in have not been as successful as we both thought. This in no way shape or form has any thing to do with your comic routines, as we both know they are a huge success and growing ever more popular day by day. The American public loves who you are, and what you stand for although my sources tell me that your acting needs some polishing up. This is what the people want and being on top as an actor and a comedian the sky is the limit for Katt Williams. This is not as big of a deal as it sounds. I have pulled some strings and have landed you an audition on Broadway. I know Katt Williams on Broadway? Yes this lead role is perfect for you it allows you to use your natural funny and mix it with some real acting. Soap Opera, David Ives doesn’t sound like the funniest play ever. You state in stand up you can’t judge a book by its cover the same goes for plays. This is exactly what your career is in dire need of.…

A woman once said "Educate a boy, you educate a man, but educate a girl and you educate a family" (Face To Face: We Founded, n.d. pg.1). This woman was Adelaide Hunter Hoodless, born on February 27, 1857, who was an incredible woman with the qualities of a leader and inspiring other women with her speeches (Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead, n.d. pg.1). She changed many women's lives as she made education beyond grade 8 possible for women and girls as well as helping women reach equality with men. It all started when Adelaide went to Ladies College and met John Hoodless whom she married and later had 4 children (Who Is Adelaide Hunter Hoodless, n.d. pg.1). Then, tragedy struck in the family. Her fourth son died because of drinking impure milk which was Adelaide's motivation and encouragement to not let this happen to any other women (ibib). So, she made many organizations that taught women and girls about Domestic Sciences (household work), nutrition and hygiene (Adelaide’s Story, n.d. pg.1). Her contributions to Canada, their impact on the society and how it has evolved today's world will be discussed in the following paragraphs.…

As a result of that beating his stepfather immediately confronted the boy outside and killed him in front of Tio. Tio said, “I felt good about it, really.” All the kids and young adults that I witnessed in the documentary see that violence is the answer to every problem. This can be attributed to differential association theory, where people are deviant as a direct result of their peers and associations. In short basic terms if you’re a kid who is in the company of bad kids then you yourself will be a bad kid. In that environment seen in the documentary that’s all they know is deviance and it’s an uphill climb to escape the inner city stigma that many people perceive. In the end it’s a harsh thought knowing and seeing how violent these communities are and it’s turned into a…

It is significant to hear their issues and problems that plague their communities. It is important to provide the social support that can end the cycle of hopelessness. Simply living in a wealthy country doesn’t give young people the opportunities they need to feel optimistic about their futures. Besides Boston, other poor urban communities around the world experience similar levels of physical decay and some of them feel worse about their environments. This may suggest that witnessing community violence and having a low sense of social support may be especially relevant in determining the health and well-being of adolescents in disadvantaged urban environments. David and Roy are two young black men whose lives were violently disrupted and they struggle to heal and remain safe in an environment that both denied their trauma and blame them for their injuries. They were seen as evil or crazy, but not as injured. According to John Rich, they had a post-event trauma that bedevils soldiers and victims of rape. For example, David is extremely angry at the people who shot his cousin Antoine and appears to be without…
