Kids Under The Age Of Facebook Research Paper
Researchers at VeriSign’s iDefense group found a hacker making people pay around 20 dollars for Facebook users and passwords. If you were a kid under the age of 13 that has Facebook, would you want your user and password being sold to strangers? I think kids under the age of 13 should not have Facebook.

There are many reasons why kids under the age of 13 should not have Facebook and here is one. There are many Facebook accounts that are fake. Scammers are making fake profiles on Facebook. In 2011 a consumer reported surveys found over 7.5 million kids under the age of 13 using Facebook, half of those kids or 12 years old and one-third of those kids are 11 years old. There use Facebook with their parents’ knowledge and making fake accounts and faking their age.

There is sexting on Facebook, kids might not know what that is and join in and you could get in a lot of trouble. Facebook has inappropriate adds because the think that kids 13 and older have Facebook.

Overall Facebook is dangerous. Some other reasons why it is dangerous is the potential for crime is real. Internet Crime Complaint Center said “Victims of internet-related crimes lost 559 million dollars in 2009”. Also 1,004 children and 43 percent of them were questioned by The Social Age study by knowthenet.org.uk said they had messaged strangers online, started at the age of 12.

I think children under the age of 13 should not have Facebook, but other people might say that it is good for kids. It allows them to interact with other people. That might not be the best thing for children because people that they interact with might pressure them to send them an inappropriate picture of him or herself. Overall Facebook is dangerous and might not be the best thing for your

Social Media should not allow users under the age of 18. I disagree, Social Media should allow users under the age of 18. Your question to me is why? Well, I have a few reasons on why should they allow user under age. My first reason is because many users have the time to talk to their friends and they can communicate. My second reason is that many users are just nosy and want to see what is going on around the world. My third reason is that many users like to chat and meet new people, or even if their parents don't allow them to talk to their aunties or cousins they can communicate with that person on social media. Having Social Media is a big help to kids when they really want to talk to people they might know.…

Now when it comes to social networks being healthy and largely harmless I do not agree. Social networking sites can have some health risk as well as harm, it can cause stress, weight problems, cyberbullying and identity theft. There has been times when my nieces come home from school they go right to the computer instead of doing homework or they say they don 't have any just so they can get on the computer to get on these different sites like facebook. They will sit in front of the computer from the time they get in the house until its time to go to bed, and when my sister calls there names they don 't answer its like everything around them stops but the…

Facebook has become a place where everyone wants to be nowadays. Not only is it wrong to be on there every single day, it is also unhealthy, which is why Facebook should be banned. People no longer care about going out and making friends. Instead, they rather stay inside and become friends with people they do not even know on Facebook. These kinds of actions can be really dangerous. People can easily create Facebook accounts, meaning that it is also easy to portray someone they’re not. No one ever knows who really is sitting behind that computer screen. Especially young people, they can be ignorant at times thinking they know their friends good enough to give them their information. Most people are unaware of how easy it is for a stranger to collect all of their information. Another bad thing about Facebook is all the drama it can cause between friends, families, or any kind of relationship. It is sad how arguments are posted for the whole world to see. Teenagers every so often lie about their age just so they do not have to ask for their parent’s approval. This in most cases happens because teenagers are doing things they’re not suppose to. In addition, people sometimes tend to hide their identities on purpose to do unpleasant things such as stalking, and bullying. There are also sick people who create fake Facebook accounts to harass little kids. Facebook is not good anymore. Many people are taking advantage of it and it is better for it to be shut down for good. No one needs Facebook, anyone can survive without it. It is healthier to be out there living life than sitting behind a computer talking about it. It would certainly make a change if Facebook were banned…

Even more troubling, more than five million Facebook users were 10 years old or younger, and they were allowed to use Facebook largely without parental supervision leaving them vulnerable to threats ranging from malware to sexual predators. It is absolutely inconceivable that a pre-teen would have the…

There have been many concerns put forward by people of the older generation and particular the media about the dangers of social networking. This includes harassment, bullying, inappropriate photos being share and can lead to people committing suicide. Six out of ten people have admitted that they have had abuse/nasty comments about them on Facebook. Personally I think that they should be banned because of the dangers. Also if it is banned then it will reduce grooming over the internet and will be a lot safer for children to browse over the web.…

Many parents request that their children add them as friends on Facebook or other social media sites. This allows them to be able to view who their children are interacting with as well as the content they are posting while still giving their child a sense of privacy and independence. Being able to have access to social networking sites is a privilege parents give their children. The child is meant to handle it with responsibility and gain a sense of independence. The current level of parent involvement in social media is enough.…

Too many children are on Facebook. Do the parents know what they are looking at? Should a child be allowed to be part of a website where so much personal information is exchanged and exposed to unlimited negative publicity? As we all know the Facebook phenomenon has spread like wildfire making it almost a necessity and its availability to everyone. Even though it may be the popular site of today, children on Facebook can fall victims to those who prey on vulnerable children on this social networking site. As a parent, I believe that children need to be more closely monitored by their parents.…

fffffFacebook should be banned.for people under the age of 18, for children under the.age of 18 are known to cyber bully, leaving children depressed, which could lead to suicide. Children also veiw explict content on fan pages another reason i think facebook should be banned is because children accept random peoples friend requests, with them not knowing that behind the screen cpuld be somebody as twisted as a phedophile. children play gamesbon facebook filled with spammers, hackers, and viruses, and waste energy which could be used for something useful to the earth, such as paying for new inventions to cure cancer, diabetes, etc. Facebook is becoming overly addictive to young children, and they make fake accpunts, which is illegal. They also conjur up large amounts of drama, and the children can easily lie about their age. These are the reason why i think facebok should be banned. Facebook is rubbish, never works, no privacy & full of virus pages. I don't think it should be ban, what people do with their free time is their own choice...might suggest people have too much free time but I who knows? perhaps this is just another phase like all the other social networking sites that have been and gone. Im sure the day when going out actually becomes more affordable then people won't use it as much, but what do i know?…
