God looked and saw faith in him. In our life we must trust the Lord in every situation in life. We also see in David's life some of the same things we go through in life. God has blessed us with everything we need, but we always want more. This is what gets David in trouble with God. God let's us know things that are wrong for us, but we are so full of power that we think that we can do anything we want; and not thinking of the consequences. David was loved by all the people and his army was great in numbers. It had not always been easy for David, when Saul was alive, because he wanted to kill David for the start. David ran for many years. He could have killed Saul,but he didn't,because Saul was God's anointed king. David knew not to take out what God had set over the people. We are to learn to wait on God, for he knows what is best for us. David sometimes let his flesh lead him and that always caused trouble to come. He lusted after another's man's wife,and he had her husband killed;and tried to cover up his sin by marrying her. He would still pay a price for his sin.
