King Jr Qualities

Leadership is a hard quality to have and to find. You have to be brave, selfless, and have a good stand on what you believe. Most people in our society are not selfless but selfish, they are not brave they are reckless, and a lot of people get their information off of Facebook and that’s not always a great source to get their views from. People think they know what they are talking about, but in all reality they don’t even know half of it. Every so often we find someone who is a true leader in our society that makes things seem like they will turn around. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for what he believed in put, his self out in the open even when he knew it was dangerous and he did what he had to do to better our society.
He experienced pain and criticism also, some jail time. Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader. Brave, selfless, and kept true to what he believed was right. That is the kind of person we need in our society. Unlike Martin Luther King Jr. I do not believe we have a good leader in our novel Lord of the Flies. Many of the kids have the qualities to be a leader, but no one had all of what it takes. Like Piggy he is smart and very intelligent, He knows the reality of things and doesn’t live in a lie. Then we have Ralph, who wants what’s best for everyone, he wants them all to be rescued and safe in their homes. If Ralph and Piggy put their heads together on one person that would make a fantastic leader. That person would be Intelligent, he would know right from wrong, he would be strong, and selfless. There is not one good leader in a book, but there are multiple people that have the potential to make one great leader. In conclusion, leadership is hard to find and we do not find one great leader in Lord of the Flies but we find multiple people with leadership qualities. If the boys came together instead of fooling around and saw reality, Ralph would have shown his true colors and Piggy would have actually stepped up if the boys didn’t pick on him so much. Unlike Martin Luther King Jr. who in real life was truly a grand leader.
