Kino Der Toten: Analysis
Kino Der Toten was a German theatre in the game Call of Duty Black Ops 1. It is a zombie map, where you have to survive against hordes of zombies. The zombies get increasingly difficult after each round. I love playing call of duty zombies. When I was younger, I was afraid to play the zombie mode in Call of Duty. I loved watching other people play it. I got to the point where I would play it with others but never by myself. I would try to play it by myself, but I got to scared in the first room and I quit.
Me and my friend Devin was playing zombies in general. Was was playing the old, older and newer. Black Ops 1, being the old, World at War, being the oldest, and Black Ops 2, being the newest. They all had zombies, so we played them all.
One day, I said “Devin, let's try to get

Any time we played a game, I hated to lose. When I did lose, I would try again. Over and over until I won. I don't know when it started, but I just don't know when to quit. That doesn't mean I don't know when to stop doing something. I think it's about me loving to play games rather than quitting. I remember playing Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3, and getting stuck on fighting Majin Buu. Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 is a fighting game based around the full story of the Dragon ball, Dragon Ball z, and Dragon Ball GT. I couldn't beat him for nothing. I tried over and over for a week back to budokai 3. After a few tries, and breaks, I finally beat it. Anytime I play a sport, and lose. I make sure the teams are the same and I keep playing until we win. Unfortunately, sometimes we don't end up winning, but it hurts my soul when we lose. Also it’s hard to get a full losing team to cooperate.
I am always the last person to say “I quit,”
I hate when people quit for no reason, or because they don't want to do whatever we was doing. I feel like I was born with a, no quitting spirit. The words “I quit,” means a lot to me.

These zombies gnaw and pounce as they sniff the air for any human flesh. They pound doors and windows and get agitated once confronted with 10-foot cyclone fences. Once they are shot in the head, they die. Basically that is it on the zombie’s side of view because we never get to know what they are thinking. One of the most exhilarating pleasures of this movie is the script flipping. This is definitely a twist on the century’s most popular horror. “Warm Bodies” is a nicely directed and well-placed terrific love story with a lot of…

Over the past decade, interest in zombies in pop culture has sky rocketed. There have been over 100 games and movies featuring the living dead. George Romero’s 1978 film Dawn of the Dead, sequel to Night of the Living Dead, gives its audience insight into these evil symbolic structures known today as zombies. In this film, there are four survivors that take refuge in a huge shopping mall, sealing the doors and creating a zombie-free hideout. This movie is often referred to as one the best horror films of its time and a door way to today’s interest in zombies. Throughout the film, the four survivors deal with hundreds of zombies and at the climax are also having to deal with a biker gang. Although not all four of these characters survived, the mall was a perfect spot for the movie to take place according to a review done by the Spinning Image Company. “The mall is a brilliant location, not just for the satirical possibilities it offers Romero, but also for creating some clever, unsettling imagery,” said Daniel Auty in his review. Auty is speaking of the several times throughout the film where Romero would cut to a scene of just zombies roaming random parts of the mall. These zombies were different than what we see today however. “[The zombies] look silly, they fall over a lot, and Romero mostly shoots them in either broad daylight or the stark fluorescence of the mall” (Auty).…

We had made it clear to each other that he would not go unavenged. We had enough passion to fight the world if we felt absolutely necessary and we went on through what seemed like a war that weekend. Through blood, sweat, and injury, we battled for that title. The championship match came in our grasps and tensions were high for the entire game since we didn't only want to win for us, but for our coach who had recently resigned. After a game full of devastating hits and elaborate set plays, we lost after an undefeated run of 5-0-0, but we fought to the death and left it all out on the field. No regret in our heads would ever go opposite the way we played in that title match because Coach Day had educated us all that no matter how exceptionally skilled at something you believe you are, you will never progress without putting your entire willpower to the task. Without passion, you fight for nothing. Passion is what will drive you through every hill and valley of your life. From that day onward, all I have done has been for a reason and I have strong-armed my way through thick and thin to be successful in my life and I plan to extend this through my entire college career and lifetime. I will at no time give up on what I believe is crucial, similar to being successful in that tournament for my…

The zombies in the film are amazing, which I would expect now knowing the breadth and style of Tom Savini's work. Though the advanced decay seen on some the dead make me wonder, how recently the dead are that are returning to life. The advanced makeup effects and... well budget, do a lot for this film. My favorite shot of a zombie is in the beginning when the burial cloths fall off one revealing the wounds from an autopsy. It's a great shot that relies on minimal make-up and effects for maximum effect.…

Zombies are less human, as they walk the streets, travel in packs, and they do not have a voice to inform us why they are attacking or their desire to kill. Frankenstein seems to have true feelings and we have a likeness to him, whereas he has soulful desires of love and hate. Zombies today are a bore, the only way of survival is for them to attack humans for survival, not understanding the reason why they have to. When I read stories or watch shows and movies about zombies, I am not amused on how they are created. It’s either by just showing up, stemming from aliens, or attacking a human in which that human becomes a zombie themselves, which is not…

Were all taught at a young age that when you try and try your hardest, anything you desire might be achieved. This statement for the most part is true but in one quick decision all of your hard work can be easily thrown away. Pushed down, deep into the recesses of your conscience in the same area where regret, guilt, and shame reside; this can all happen in one swift (usually ill-advised) choice, the choice to give up—or quit. In Barbara Graham’s essay “Confessions of a Quit Addict” she describes her adventures in quitting; where it took her, and how it shaped her to be the person she came to be. Through personal experience I too know what it is like to be a quitter and not live up to expectations, and also how to learn from mistakes.…
