Klaus Quotes
Eh, I mean, I think my problem with most of their conflicts is because it's over a woman. Like, Hayley emotionally manipulated Elijah to dagger Klaus; Klaus was right in being mad and wanting revenge on Hayley. Elijah being mad that Klaus killed Gia. Klaus didn't **have** to do that, but Elijah shouldn't have let Hayley use him like that and basically take Klaus' child from him. Those were the consequences. Plus, that was Elijah's whole focal point, getting Klaus' redemption through Hope, but he just let's Hayley take her? Even the time when Hayley convinced Elijah that Klaus wanted to use Hope's blood to create more Hybrids - she also just wholeheartedly believed Tyler even though he wanted her and her child dead - when he didn't even know …show more content…
The most I could say is that he also could've spoken to Hayley, explained the situation, and they could've come up with a solution. There's too many people who could've done better and too many factors. I mean, what was the purpose in Klaus having a child, making her his redemption, and have him sacrifice for her only to not have him raise her and only be in her life for 2 years over the phone and by letters? Then we get Declan talking shit about Klaus not being in Hope's life when he's really only getting the surface of what's happened and hasn't even made an inch into the truth. I really don't care about this Hope shit, Henry, Hayley, Declan, Caroline and any other new character's that want to pop up. I'm here for the Mikaelson siblings and Vincent/Marcel, and that's it.

I mean, all of this is happening because of Hope wanting to see Klaus. Although, she doesn't seem to be looking for a way to kill the Hollow or anything so that she can get her father back in her life. She'd scheming, but isn't conducting a plan with Freya to help her family out? That makes so much sense. There's only so much leeway you can give a 15 year old and I'm not giving her any because she's old enough to know right from wrong. She's old enough to use her brain instead of acting recklessly stupid. I know some fifteen year olds - not all - act crazy, but she's doing a bit too much, too

I’m reading a book called the Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz, and it is a very good book. I saw a word that just kept coming up again and again, and that word is harpoon. The word harpoon came up so many times in three pages. I know that this is important because I know something is going to happen very shortly. I know it is going to be shortly because I'm getting to the end of the book.…

First of all, the Grool is a mystical character in the book, that looks like a very old sponge. But it is a creature that is a bad luck charm and if you try to throw it away you will die within a day, oh yes, it also immortal and any violent ways can't kill this creature. But the people succeed at killing him, they killed him by that they sang him songs and kissed him and he died. I don't have a lot to say about this creature, but one thing that I can say it is that it is very strange and don't have any feelings, but it also have friends, like an another creature that looks like potato but it is hot hard and can breath and have mouth full of sharp teeth.…

Tom Weylin and his wife, Margaret, both resent Dana because she is an educated black woman with proper dialect. The wife even goes as far as throwing coffee on her and slapping her, while the husband sends flirtatious signs her way and even tries to buy her, but Dana refuses. Dana tells Kevin of these experiences on the plantation, and he tells her she needs to leave, but she only agrees to leave when Rufus’s leg has fully healed. Nigel, who is a thirteen year old slave on Weylin’s plantation asks Dana to teach him how to read and write, and she agrees to, but makes sure he understand the dangerous consequences of their wrong-doing. Eric Hoffer Quotes

I believe that Eric Hoffer's quote is acurate and represents the countless times in history when certain nations would create a a shpere of dominance or superiority over the larger majority that are no able to speak out against inequality. Britain and other Europeans fabricated a concept of "scientific racism" and saw those with darker skin as inferior and made the African people complete forced labor. This quote could also be interpreted that leaders, no matter good or bad, rule over their common majority because they are ruling in their personal best interest.…

    Dracula Storm Quotes

Between the chapters of five and seven, Stoker used many signs to show that Dracula had entered England. One of the more prominent signs was seen in a newspaper clipping from August 8th, about through a storm that had hit a ship near Whitby. The storm set the mood of the chapter to be dark, gloomy and evil and Stoker described it using many literary devices. For instance, before the storm approached:…

Art Spiegelman’s Maus expounds on the poignant story of Spiegelman’s father, Vladek, and his traumatic experience as a Polish Jew during the Holocaust in World War II. Vladek is a complex individual whose arduous past explains his difficult behaviour in the present. His son, Artie, renders him as a very meticulous, demanding, critical and anxious character. Vladek’s involvement in the Holocaust through his unwavering pursuit for survival is what makes him quite the tangled personality. His encounters with traumatic events such as death and loss of family members and friends from the war greatly explain his complexity. As readers, we are meant to sympathise with him and understand why his painful past is a notable reason for his convoluted character in the present.…

    Guyland Quotes

    • 2986 Words
    • 12 Pages

Guyland can be defined as the world in which young men live (Kimmel 2008, pg. 4). It’s a stage these young men go through from the time they hit adolescence to the time they enter manhood (from about 15 to 26). It’s a world where guys just act as guys, untouched by the adult life of parents, jobs, kids, girlfriends, etc. Kimmel (2008) describes it as a “Peter-Pan mindset”, where these kids live in a realm of fun and freedom and never want to grow up. Guyland is the world young men grow up in, and is a passage they navigate through from adolescence to adulthood. It can also be described as what men do for fun. In this world, they do nothing but drink, have sex,…

“The point was, the grace of it was, that it had nothing to do with sports. For I wanted no more of sports. They were barred from me, as though when Dr. Stanpole said, "Sports are finished" he had been speaking of me. I didn't trust myself in them, and I didn't trust anyone else. It was as though football players were really bent on crushing the life out of each other, as though boxers were in combat to the death, as though even a tennis ball might turn into a bullet.”…

In the fourth letter, Walton recalls Frankenstein starting to share his tale with him. Frankenstein says, “Do you share my madness? Have you drunk also of the intoxicating drought?” (12). A drought typically resembles a long period of time. This draught that he speaks of refers to the burden that Frankenstein must carry for the remainder of his life. There is no end to his drought. He can wish for absolution, just like one might wish for rain, but for Frankenstein, a cure will never come. He is stuck in the drought of the albatross until his death.…

This quotation is significant because it demonstrates how Victor has become obsessed with acquiring knowledge. In the novel, knowledge is a very dangerous power. There is a difference between wisdom and knowledge, which is something that Victor cannot differentiate and is thus leading him to his so called “destiny.” In addition, the quote also highlights the idea that ignorance is bliss. If Victor had remained in his hometown and not been anxious to learn deeply about science he wouldn't be in the situation he is in now.…

    Klaus Character Roles

I chose these two characters because they have the same problems, but also go about handling them in a different way. The one feature that they have in common is that they are hybrids. Hybrid meaning half-vampire and half-wolf. At one point or another, both Klaus and Hayley have been in a social role or an individual role. In this episode, they both played the social role numerous times. A social role is “a role that helps the group manage relationships and affects the group climate.” (Beebe, Beebe, & Ivy, 2008, p. 239) In one scene of the show, both Hayley and Klaus are sent to the other side to talk to a dead witch. She was trying to explain to them how to defeat the enemy. Klaus was impatient, he wanted answers instead of explanations. Hayley was the voice of reason to him during this discussion. She knew that in order to defeat the enemy, they would have to come and fight together. She was playing a social role, because she was working to get everyone on the same page for a common goal. Unfortunately sometimes, the individual role…
