Do you think is it a possible way to resolve the current problems on economic structure, business culture and employment crisis in South Korea? Please elaborate your answer with examples. Economic democratization stands for the argument that unequal distribution of wealth which is confined to big corporations should be relieved by legislative law with political communities and civic groups as the central figures. And according to the South Korea’s constitution, ‘the State may regulate and coordinate economic affairs in order to maintain the balanced growth and stability of the national economy, to ensure proper distribution of income, to prevent the domination of the market and the abuse of economic power, and to democratize the economy through harmony among the economic agents.’(Article 119) In that sense, despite the nation respect principle of free market economic, it can interfere in order to prevent weighted wealth towards the major large companies. Hence, the politicians support for the economic democratization to relieve the gap between the rich and poor based on the article number 119 constitution. However, will this have the impact on resolving the present South Korean society’s problems in terms of economic structure, business culture and employment crisis? Rather I believe that the name of the economic democratization will not only put the society in chaos but also it will make the majority of citizens aggressive. Economic democratization is another name of privatization. That is, the public enterprises come under private management for the sake of ultimate cost-effectiveness for the citizens. To be more specific, unlike private general companies go on bankrupt, the public corporations run from citizen’s tax even if they go deficit budget. Hence a number of South Korea’s public enterprises sit

Seoul had been a key location of exported-oriented industries in Korea, with its reliance on the manufacturing sector which later declined significantly due to rise in wages and strengthened unions accelerated its deindustrialization process of the Seoul economy in the late 1980’s with the flows of migrant workers from developing Asian countries, such as China, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Thailand and Pakistan into Seoul. Many local companies relocated their factories overseas where cheaper, docile labors were available. This surge of Seoul-based multinational corporations' foreign investment has been the core of the globalization of the Korean economy from its virtual location to its new actual location of economic growth.…

    Kim Jong Il

North Korea has long been a country of mystique, both provoking two nuclear crises and receiving aid from the international community and South Korea in more recent times. North Korea under Kim Jong Il examines how internal changes in North Korea since the early 1970s have structured that nation's apparently provocative nuclear diplomacy and recent economic reform measures. To understand these changes, author Sung Chull Kim uncovers relatively unknown internal aspects of the country under Kim Jong Il's leadership. His account, based on a thorough examination of primary sources, traces the origins, consolidation, and dissonance of North Korea's systemic identity. He reveals how official and unofficial developments in the domains of North Korea's politics, ideology, economics, and intellectual-cultural affairs have brought about system-wide duality, particularly between socialist principles embedded in the official ideology and economic institutions. This book focuses not only upon regime change within North Korea, but also on the personal qualities of Kim Jong Il and his father. It goes beyond the usual sort of political analysis to use systems principles…
