Automated Process of AIS
Kudler Fine Foods is a company that is looking to expand and integrate their accounting software. Accuracy and the ability to have all locations communicate are essential in the decisions of the direction the company. Software that caters to the majority needs of the company will facilitate the recording process and increase the accuracy of such action. There are several types of accounting information systems the company could use. Each type has their advantages and disadvantages on the development and usage of the software. The company has many issues to consider in deciding which

Industry-specific software provides a POS, accounting, inventory, customer relationship management (CRM), reports, purchasing and payroll modules (Find Accounting Software, nd.). The POS module assists in cashing out customers and running credit or debit cards. Once an item is scanned, it will take it from the inventory and when the sale is complete, the sale will be posted to the GL in the accounting module. The accounting module consists of the accounts payable, GL, reports, inventory and purchasing modules. When sales are posted to the GL during the month, reports can be run at the end of the month to view total revenue. Invoices are paid through accounts payable and inventory is tracked as well as purchases being made to replace sold inventory. Industry-specific software is not a perfect fit but if businesses find one that provides at least 80% of what they are looking for then they have a good software they can build onto in order to make it everything they need (VISCO, …show more content…
The implementation of the new industry software will enable the company to keep a better record system for the products they currently provide. The new software will allow the company to dive into more internet based transactions. Kudler will not be able to not only see what the inventory levels look like at the other locations but they will be able to make supply orders while keeping track of what has been ordered and the cost associated with those orders. This will eliminate the need for employees to constantly track the inventory in each location. Time, manpower and money will all be saved with this implementation. The use of the new system should be maintained by the accounting department. “As a business grows, the approval of purchases shifts predominantly to individuals within the accounting department” (Market Platform Dynamics, 2007). This will allow for multiple orders to be processed at one time thusly saving the company money based upon the volume to be purchased and guarantee the correct products go to the correct locations. This system will most definitely cut down on the errors that were previously done when everything was manually done by employees. The new software will provide an avenue that should lead Kudler Fine Foods into the market as a force to be reckoned

Kudler Fine Foods is a company that deals with bakery and pastries products, along with providing produce, meats, seafood, condiments, cheese, specialty dairy products, and they also package foods if necessary throughout their many locations within California. Kudler Fine Foods ultimate goal is very similar to all businesses alike, which is to have an excess amount of income over expenditure. According to what is stated on the Intranet for Kudler Fine Foods, their drive as a business, is to always maintain being the best in the business when comes to servicing customers with top high end products (goods and even services produced by Kudler Fine Foods). KFF will also have to understand what the needs of customers are and what they are looking for. Most of the time, or should I say all the time, customers are always relying on the shifting and movements (up or down), of price levels over different periods of time, and the expectations of those price levels, would be a decrease in goods and services mostly all the time. Observing the shifting of price levels is a strategy done by customers as they go through the process of examining two or more companies similar to KFF; in order to discover similarities and differences.…
