Lab Technician Personal Statement
I want to be one of the Science Co-op students to gain more knowledge and experience, and also to open up my world in preparation for my future career.

I spend my free time by reading books and listening to acoustic music. I also like to watch videos about how things are formed because I learn new things.

My number one strength is I am an easy learner. I can adopt myself in any kind of situation. However, I consider having a lot of works that need to be done immediately as my number one weakness.

I do household chores when I get home from school and I also take care of my little brother when our parents are still at work.

I like to work in a laboratory. Therefore, I would pick the Lab Technician.

I have many strengths as well as areas to grow in, some of them overlap as both a strength and an area of growth. One of my strengths is trying hard to get any job put in front of me done no matter what it may be. Another is the inability to say no to anything someone asks me to do such as pick up a shift at work or can you help them at home. This one is as much an area of growth as it is a strength. Some areas of growth that I am focusing on improving include being more patient and not speaking too much.…

The author examines the moral and ethical dilemma of a physician who take part in euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. He distinguishes the difference between passive euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Anson notes, that passive euthanasia is more acceptable due to the similarities of the American Medical Association's Code of Medical Ethics guidelines for withholding or removing life-sustaining intervention. However, the article also implied contradictions in the Hippocratic Oath against active euthanasia. Moreover, Anson examines the ideas based on proponents' views for active euthanasia, which patients who utilize life support systems are suffering agonizing and "leading to an undignified death". I feel I have many different strengths. One of which I think stands out the most is that I’m willing to take criticism. When I get scowled by someone, I don’t take it as something negative right away. Instead I will sit down and reflect on the situation before coming to a conclusion. Many people will think the person yelling at them is terrible but I think it’s the opposite. This is because the person actually cares enough about you to point out your weaknesses so that you know and be able to fix them. A weakness of mine…

The only weakness I have is adapting to change. I never knew I had this kind of trouble in life, but I learned about something I have to work on. After analyzing it I realize it is a problem. Because I get nervous when I start something new or when I get stuck doing something I cannot do, I start to get frustrated. After learning this about myself, I need to work on making my weakness into strength by adapting to any type of changes in my life. My strengths included following instructions and adhering to values. I am very good when I have instructions in front of me as I build something new or when I have an assignment. Following instructions is my biggest strength in my life because it is something I use every day. Adhering to values is something new that I learned about myself just because I never noticed it in my life. I am the type of person who will stand by the truth in every situation around my.…

As a phlebotomist and young college student, I knocked on the door to find my fourth chemotherapy patient of the day unresponsive. It was my first “code blue.” A team of healthcare professionals rushed into the room and my attention was directed towards the physician assistant (PA) who was leading the team as he implemented advanced cardiac life support protocol. Witnessing the empathy, compassion and wisdom of the PA as he updated the family on the care plan for the patient, while spending the time to explain to the family and ensuring that all questions were answered strengthened my desire to develop the same compassionate interactions with a family and patients as a PA.…
