Lady Or The Tiger Barbarianism

It all depends on which door you choose, behind one door is hungry tiger but another is a beautiful lady. Which will you choose? In this kingdom their way of justice is to have people chose their own fate. They pick a door either to be devoured by a hungry tiger, or to be married to a beautiful lady. When the princess falls in love her father immediately sends her lover to court. In the short story “The Lady or the Tiger?” by Frank R. Stockton the princess’s weakness is how she has a barbaric background and has a lot of power. In The Lady or the Tiger? The princess shows her weakness of her barbaric background. Barbarianism runs in her blood, which explains why she gets overly jealous. She absolutely hates the woman who her lover would marry,
which triggers the jealousy she has for the woman. She hates her lividly because “she had dared to raise her eyes to the loved one of the princess” (Stockton). The princess shows her barbarism by expressing her jealousy. The princess would not be the same person if she did not have her power. Since she has that power, she knows which door holds the tiger is and which door holds the lady is behind the doors in the arena. She has the fate of the prince in her hands, since she has the power. She can chose whether the love of her life gets to live and marry the person she hates or die in front of her eyes. The princess has the power to do and know all of these things.
