Explore how Tommo and Charlie’s relationship develops over the course of the novel. Why does Tommo believe he lives in Charlie’s glow?

The name of the book I have been studying is called ‘Private Peaceful’. It was it was written by an English, 70 year old writer Michael Morpurgo. The book is about two brothers and their lives. In this essay I am going to write how relationship between Tommo and Charlie often changes. The main idea is how Tommo thinks that he lives in Charlie’s glow not shadow and I am also going to write what I think about Tommo’s and Charlie’s relationship.
One of the five points in the story where the relationship between Tommo and Charlie changes is that Tommo is happy that Charlie is his brother. The evidence of this point is ‘I have the bravest brother in the world’ and the explanation is that Charlie saved Tommo from being beaten up by Jimmy Parsons after attacking him.
The second point is that Tommo is avoiding Charlie, because he was secretly seeing Molly. The evidence is ‘…but he knew that all I did was avoiding him.’ The explanation is that Tommo is angry at Charlie because of what happened between him and Molly. He does not want to talk with Charlie anymore.
Third point is that Charlie understands Tommo. The evidence of this point is ‘You love her, don’t you?’ and the explanation is that Charlie feels the same way as Tommo, because Charlie loves Molly too.
Fourth point is that Tommo is happy to see Charlie, because he thought he was dead. The evidence of this point is ‘I am glad to see you’. The explanation is that Tommo didn’t see Charlie for a long time and when he started to lose hope Charlie turned up.
The last point is that Tommo is very sad, because Charlie is going to die ( to be shouted). The evidence is ‘Under my breath I sing it with him.’ Tommo is singing Oranges and Lemons with Charlie.
‘After Sergeant Hanley and the field punishment, and the way Charlie managed to smile through it all, there isn’t a man in

At this point, Charlie was close to ending their reunion. The ludicrous behavior the father took on was a building tool that was used cleverly by the author so that the last sentence of his story portrayed what his meaning was; “’Good bye daddy, I said, and I went down the stair and got my train, and that was the last time I saw my father.” (Cheever 126). The last line was clearly used pathos to affect the feelings of the reader.…

The song I Wish You Were Here represents how Charlie misses his best friend Algernon. It was really difficult for Charlie to know that his friend died. Algernon was the only loyal friend that Charlie had, and it was the only one who understood him. They both went through the same process, and the same operation to become smarter. It was difficult for Charlie because he knew that if Algernon died maybe he could die too.
