This procedure is done due to the patient having issues with appendicitis therefore, requiring action in the form of surgery. Appendicitis may become dangerous if the patient does not seek help quickly since factors such as a ruptured appendix may lead to a very unsafe infection. Thus, this surgical procedure is done to prevent appendicitis becoming more severe to the patient’s wellbeing. The procedure’s main task and goal is to remove the appendix.
