Las Tias Case Summary
We suggest Las Tias organization addresses one of the two proposed alternatives listed below. [See figure 2] The first alternative would be to incorporate a structural change. With a matrix structure in place, the organization could result in better productivity due to the clearly defined roles and expectations. This structure will also allow the leaders of Las Tias to oversee every component and different division of each project. [See Appendix B]

Also, providing internal training all of the staff members can lead to very successful outcomes. In order to eliminate any confusion and resistance of the integration of this new structure, it is in the best interest of Las Tias to attain the necessary training. Refer to figure 2 for the benefits and costs of the respected alternatives.

This section will include recommendations for how Las Tias organization could improve on various aspects of their organization. There are four fundamental issues affecting the productivity of Las Tias staff, they include:

A common complaint among employees is the inaccessibility to needed documents and the need for assets for organization such as file cabinets. By enforcing a strict document keeping process, staff members will be able overcome the obstacles of missing or ruined documentation. This recommendation also will push for a more efficient process, especially when presenting to future prospects and donors. By keeping all records, budgets, and reports of donor funding, the staff can accurately present on the most updated information. This can allow future donors to know exactly how their contributions will be utilized and have current data at all times. Incorporating a computer with a data/ record keeping functions would also aid greatly in the overall storage of
